We had an interview scheduled in Cairo, Egypt for July 1.  Officially cancelled as of this morning.  All interviews, except emergency interviews are cancelled until the Embassy reopens.

Someone in the Canada FB group called them. They are technically open, but they're not scheduling any interviews for June, and couldn't say when they're going to start again.

When they do, I'm sure it's gonna be rescheduling the cancelled people first, then by date recieved since they closed in March, soooo it's gonna be awhile.

What is the Facebook group? Can I be added?

There has been some visa activity in Islamabad according to some AP groups my husband and I are in.

Do you mind clarifying what is an AP group?

Does anyone know if Argentina will start scheduling soon? I know my case arrived there since they updated the NVC online page and it says it's ready but the doctors aren't open yet to do the medical exam.

The embassy might open but it seems that they are not going to schedule interviews for new files. 😌

Where did you get this information about new files?

And this screenshot comes from a site about information for Iranians. Can it be applied for everyone having interviews from Ankara?

Guys do you have any guesses on when they might open? Am I the only one who thinks this is just enough?

Like it’s just so hard for them to put consul behind the glass and don’t make him touch anything without glows, also before entering they can check the temperature of applicants. This is way better than affecting so many people’s lives and also having a backlog. I understand they protect workers, but it can’t be like that. We have preschools and nurseries open, borders as well but of course embassy is just something different.

If the host country govt forbids public assembles, how could the US embassy conduct interviews even if they wanted to?

Well, I'm not sure about the information. I got it from another forum for the Iranian applicants. One of them was trying to reschedule her interview and encountered with that message.

Yes, it might be just for them. We should wait and see.

I appreciate if you share anything about the opening of Ankara embassy. too :)

The islamabad website has no updates 😭😭   . They should just check temperatures and let them in ! When do you think good news will come ?

That’s what  I’m saying, checking temperature, consul behind the glass and we are all set. I just think they like complicating and playing with people’s lives.

I think the issue is the airports are not allowing international flights. Like if a visa is granted and there are no flights out what is the point. My personal opinion once the international flight begin to happen in your country the embassy opening will follow soon after... just my personal opinion..
