Any news?

Some embassies will reopen starting next week. But the one’s which are still facing corona, they will wait until things settle down a bit and the country open up first

I keep seeing this but haven't seen any official sources (embassy websites or social media) announce it. Do you have a source for this? I hope it's true, but it seems to be only word of mouth right now.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

Right now embassies have three stage openings process (Diplomacy Strong as reported in media). Some are still at 0, some are at 1, very few are at stage 2. Stage 3 allows regular visa services - don’t think any are at that point yet. There’s still worldwide suspension on regular visa services.

He’s a world famous immigration lawyer and very much on top of this current situation and pretty accurate and one of the first ones to share the news. Other then that, I agree what you’re saying but let’s just hope for the good.

I wish all my fellow members of this painful journey and hopefully things will settle down soon

Unless he has a credible source within the US government, that doesn't matter.

He starts with "what we know is that some will be reopening" with no credible source to back up his prediction. It's solely based on COVID numbers, with nothing to back up that the reopening is based on numbers and not a presidential decision.

His theory also doesn't take the Schengen-ban into consideration, even though multiple people have gotten replies from their local embassy saying that they're not issuing visas until that ban has been lifted.
