I mailed my I-129 on March 30th and today I see they deducted the fee out my account. So I know I’m waiting for a letter in the mail . But I’m curious to know does it mean I sent everything necessary and no extra documents will be needed? Also I’m in the military. Can I ask for expedited processing? I have verbal orders to Bahrain in September. What if I am moved to Bahrain before there process is finished what will happen to my case ? Can it still continue?

The have your forms and your money along with your attention. All is good so far. Your files will be scanned and sent from Dallas to California where they begin processing your application. So, no you are not in the clear. It will take 3-7 months "your mileage may vary" before you will know of any RFE's. RFE's are sent all at once with each item they need to finish the adjudication process.

You can certainty try for your case to be expedited.

Call the Military USCIS customer service for additional details and qualifications.

USCIS has established a toll-free military help line exclusively for members of the military and their families. USCIS customer service specialists are available to answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (CST), excluding federal holidays. After-hours callers receive an email address that they can use to contact USCIS for assistance.

•Military Help Line: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645)

Finally, can you circle back and let us know what your course of action will be and the answer you received when you made that call. Good luck and thanks for your service. (Veteran here)

It's not a complete and accurate yardstick to how well it works. For some, it's close to being accurate for others it's not helpful. The VJ timeline is based on the accuracy of the individuals posting and the number in the sampling.
