That means it is not ready yet, I hope you didn't tell you to submit anything

Nope. I was told I’ll be issued a visa, and I should expect in it 10 days

I pray. The wait is frustrating, traveling as soon as it’s in my hands.

The document you got from the clerk is the document you need.

As long as you're not providing a copy of the certificate you have in hand then you're fine.

Thanks! We married in the US, and that’s what they gave us, so I was confused if we needed another type of document

No, what you have is perfect.

We got married in the states too, I was kinda worried initially because im used to the certificates looking VERY detailed, colourful, thick paper, the whole nine yards. What we got was NOT any of that but they assured us at the courthouse clerk's office that what we have is the official doc

According to the JA Embassy If you were married in Jamaica they want the original marriage certificate

It's also in any countries. Original birth cert+ original marriage cert is required.

wow I am sorry it has been that long, is that related to embassy issues? Best of luck for you!

Hello. Yes , the American embassy in Havana was closed from September 2017. So we were moved to another US embassy for process. That embassy is Georgetown , Guyana embassy. So it's been very slow since they process other countries there as well. Hoping that they start moving along soon. Will keep everyone updated.

hi does anyone knows about getting early appointments at Mumbai consulate, we have sent our documents to nvc and I know it takes about 2 months and then 3 month to get a interview letter. can we get interview date early then having to wait for 3 months, me and my son will going from use because of weather I'm worried for my son, any experienced getting interview date earlier then its scheduled ? please help me if you can

Please fill in your VJ timeline and refer to the very first post @dwheels76 posted.

Expediting an interview is very much at the discretion of the Consulate or Embassy your case resides at.  You'd have to contact them and see.  Some consulates require very strong evidence for expediting an interview such as a medical emergency.
