Yes, he is approved and I need to send the JA Embassy the original marriage certificate

And then pretty much from there they just issue the visa?

Yes, they took his passport.

How long does it take for pick up? I feel it's taking too long.

People that had theirs after you have picked up theirs already. I know one who had his last week and picked it up today. Double check the contact email and phone number you provided on trvaeldocs.

Now just to wait on the visa to come back. He asked us how we met, how long we been together and pretty much said this is a straightforward case. Confirmed some stuff and said he's waiting on one thing from D.C. but that's it!

My husbands police certificate was issued in September. It says valid for 3 months on it. Does he need to go and get an updated police certificate or the US embassy will allow him to use the one he has?

 

 

Embassy- Senegal 

Interview Date- February 25, 2020

I am having the same doubt. I just submitted all my documents on February 01 and my police records are valid for 90 days, (until February 20th) so by the time NVC reviews my documents they will probably be expired. I hope this doesn't cause problems! I am so worried I will get a message to re submit documents and delay the process even more....
