According to your timeline

2019/07/17  Met online

2019/08/29  1st in-person meeting in 3rd country for 5 days

2019/10/04  I-129F sent

you just knew the person for 2 months and 18 day and have already petitioned them and only met for 5 days? While you certainly met the requirements to file the I-129F I fear that you will have a hard time to prove bonafide relationship. For best results at embassy interview I would recommend another visit BEFORE the interview.

Thank you for the advice! I really would love to, however, I cannot go again as I don't have more PTO to use.😥 I don't know why, but somehow I am not afraid of this relationship being doubt- we are truly in love and seriously discussing everyday about life after marriage/living together. I believe we will still be able to prove it in every other ways 😉, might be a bit difficult or challenging though.

Hi everyone! I realized today that it’s been a month since we received our noa1 and thought i might bump the thread ;)

So, one month down, hopefully only around two more to go :) some days are worse than others but overall i still feel excited instead of anxious or impatient, and it helps a lot that my fiance will be here in 3 days and that i already have tickets booked to see them in january. We’re trying to figure out our plans for march (we try to see each other every 2 months), but it’s so difficult to plan when we don’t know where we’ll be in the process.

Anyway, how are you guys holding up? :)

Time do flies. I check for updates every now and then but I don't think about it much because i know it will take about 2-3 months or more to receive an update for our visa. Time flies by faster when we are not obsessed about our visa status 😜.

Fingers crossed we hear something by December!

I can't wait to see everyone of us approved as well,  hopefully by third week of next month the approvals will start happening! I need the days to run faster as well😀

I definitely obsessed more in the beginning but recently stopped. I will see my fiance in January and then hopefully the next time I visit him again after January will be for the interview and bringing him to America 😊 planning a visit really helped me to not be inpatient.

We are on day 50 here.  Hoping we are half way to NOA 2.  Its tough as we all know.  We video chat twice a day but some days are just so hard.  The holidays will be especially difficult.  I was hoping to travel to see my fiancee but that almost 3K round-trip ticket just makes it impossible.  Everyone have good holidays and hopefully our turn is coming soon!

Honestly guys, we can do this. It’s hard, it’s painful, but in 10 years this all will be a part of our awesome life and love stories. Don’t let your minds trick you into thinking this period of our lives will last forever. We are already very strong people just for being in our long distance relationships and taking steps to close the distance.

As for the holidays, yes they are hard, but they are also opportunities to build our own traditions with our partners, and enjoy our old traditions with our families and friends at home while we are still there. I have two sisters and plan on making 3 gifts of the same kind for each of us, sort of like a connection between us for when I leave.
