How long will it take for USCIS to mail back the rejected I-129F packet? Until now we have not received it. However, I saw one post where they were rejected on Oct 30 and they received their packet already. Ours was rejected on Oct 29. We called them already but all they say is wait and emailed them but no response.

Sorry for this post. Hope anyone who have idea can share it with us. We are trying to be positive and hoping that we will receive it soon so we will know what is wrong with our application and do the necessary corrections. As much as possible, we would like to resubmit as soon as possible.

Unfortunately getting your packet back is based on USCISs timeframe. They don't rush anything even sending your packet back. Nothing you can do but wait. I know you don't want to hear that,  but what else to do?

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

You received an RFE for something concerning our I129f packet that is missing or wrong? That's not a rejection per say it just an RFE. How do you know that it is being returned to you?

Welcome to the thread. Be sure to download the PDF on the second post in this thread. Lots of tips, tricks and hacks.

All visa applications (except diplomatic) that were pending in Havana were cancelled: https://cu.usembassy.gov/frequently-asked-questions/ It could change in the future, but right now if a Cuban is at the NVC stage and the USC's petition listed Havana then NVC automatically assigns the case to Georgetown, Guyana.

Thank you for the information and your help! Pending a decision we have been planning and expecting to have to make a trip to Guyana,  not expecting anything to change anytime soon for the embassy in Cuba 🙁.  This website has been so helpful for info in this overwhelming process!

Hahahahaha! Excellent point my friend. Excellent point!

Question for you guys.. he will have to do VAC and medical again, correct?

VAC as in Vaccines? If the beneficiary has proof of recent vaccination from the Medical center where he did it the first time then they should not need it again assuming it has not been Years ago. Sorry don't know the back story but yes need to do the medical again.

It's almost November now...

Time flies. But at the same time, really can't wait for NOA2...

Everyday is getting more and more excited. 😆

I wonder how you guys doing right now? Any plans during this long period?

He is working hard to make enough money, thinking to buy himself a car once arriving the states.

Also he promised me to learn English and driving, two of the critical skills to be living here.

We are really excited and nervous of the future.

It seems there will be much happiness, yet difficulties.

According to your timeline

2019/07/17  Met online

2019/08/29  1st in-person meeting in 3rd country for 5 days

2019/10/04  I-129F sent

you just knew the person for 2 months and 18 day and have already petitioned them and only met for 5 days? While you certainly met the requirements to file the I-129F I fear that you will have a hard time to prove bonafide relationship. For best results at embassy interview I would recommend another visit BEFORE the interview.

So we haven't receive our NOA1 but found the case number at the back of the checks.

I am tracking it but these two websites are giving me different dates. The first one is from https://my.uscis.gov/ and the second is https://egov.uscis.gov

Which would be the correct one?

uscis2.png.99175d8d951927cdbde9f131c579de5a.png

For your timeline I would just go by the older date 10/18/2019.

VAC - vaccines. The medical staff will ask for any proof of vaccinations. They will review and then during the interview and physical observations decide what VACs you will need. St. Lukes is one of the rare medical exam centers where the vaccinations are included in the fee so no need to run out and do them on your dime causing you to pay for them twice.

Doesn't really matter a whole lot but since I'm OCD I'll point out that your first Service Center should be California. Case is technically not transferred. TX is just the lock box where all I-129F's are sent and then assigned to CSC

What is the address you mailed the I-129F to, What DATE version of the I-129F did you use and what amount did you submit. Even paying 1 penny to much or too little can get your package kicked back.  Hopefully you will get something in the mail this week.

One to two weeks sometimes as much as 4 weeks. NOA1 is never used for any of the process so if you don't get a copy it's not going to change anything.

Does it mean that it is possible that someone will only get noa2 without getting noa1 ??

Each embassy is different. You should be asking specific embassy interview requirements in your sub-forum for your country or region. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of the page, select "Forums" scroll 3/4 of the page down and look for the link.
