So the interview has been scheduled but EAD was never sent. How will my wife get her ssn if the EAD never gets processed? Would we have to go to the ssn office with the green card to apply for one or will it come with the card?

I guess this is not going to be an issue anymore. EAD status changed last night to “new card being processed” and then this morning to “case approved”. Seems backwards to me but I’ll take it lol

We had our interview yesterday in the Chicago Field Office. The interviewer was very nice and talked to us for 45 minutes. First checked ID and passport for both of us. Next did bio-metric check by taking his pictures and scanning both index fingers. We took the oath and she asked for few documents and verify information on the application. Next was requesting any new documents utility bills, joint account, medical insurance etc. After all said and done she asked us to tell her our story and we started telling her how we met and how our family reacted to our engagement.  We gave her pictures (so many pictures lol) of us in UAE, NYC, Chicago, Florida etc. She took many pictures as evidence to add to our file and was glad that we were so organized. We were told we are approved and handed over letter with approval. She mentioned she will not hold case for review and approval will be right away. As of this morning our case says approved. Only thing she did not ask for was the medical I-693 form. We had the sealed envelope and remembered last night that she never asked for it. We are very happy and looking forward to getting his GC soon. Also, she mentioned that if you have a SS card to go back to office once the GC arrives to remove the condition on it.

Praying everyone has an interview as easy as ours! She was very nice and we loved talking to her.

We went to the SSA with the Green Card. Had the card in less than a week. Easy.

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Ok i'm freaking out over here.

On 1/27, the status changed to "Interview Was Scheduled" and after NOT receiving the interview letter for weeks, I found out that my status changed to "Notice was Returned to USCIS Because the Post Office Could Not Deliver it".

It's almost been 45 DAYS since my "interview was scheduled" and I am CERTAIN that I missed my interview. I dont know why USPS failed to deliver when every other notices were delivered fine?!!

First thing first I filed for e-request and then second I am in queue to talk to a Tier 2 officer. What else can I do now? :(

08/30/2018 - Sent I-129F package via USPS

09/04/2018 - Picked up from Dallas Lockbox

09/08/2018 - Check cashed

09/10/2018 - Case number received via text/email

Old NOA1 - 08/31/2018

New NOA1 - 09/06/2018

NOA2 - 01/18/2019

01/24/2019 - Checked new website and see an approval!

02/06/2019 - NVC received our case. Pending Case #

02/11/2019 - Called NVC, Case # has been assigned.

04/09/2019 - K1 Interview/Approved!

I had to take both! I’ve had a drivers license from my country for almost 10 years but still had to do that. I think they accept licenses from a few countries.

Was very easy though, had no problems!

Written test and then road test. I did this when I was a student in Nebraska. When I moved to California and had to change my drivers license to a CA one, they made me do the written test again but not the road test.

Had my interview in Manhattan,NY on Thursday March 12th. We were put under review because we put more paperwork on out file. Monday March 16th my status changed to ‘New Card Being Produced’. I thought it was going to take a while with COVID-19 but it only took 4 days/2 businesses days.
