Just had my interview  done!

It took  1 hour, at first  they asked standard  questions from petition about  terrorism  and crime.

Then asked about  our relationship,  how we met, how grow and develop  our  relationship,  our plans for future.

About  documents  they asked what documents do we have with our both names there. We gave  statement  about  our joun bank account,  information  about  car insurance,  live insurance.

In general  they also look how couple  communicate,  so if your marriage  is real and you have nothing  to  hide you will be fine!

Congratulations!

Yeah it demoralising, just remember that the First number means 50% of cases are done by that date the last number means 90% of cases are done by that date.

Man, taking a huge blow today here as well on processing times... just checked the times for Portland, OR and they went from 6.5-8.5 months to 11.5-25 months :( Super frustrating considering the majority of April filers in Portland on VJ had their interviews in July (3 frigging months) :( I wonder if they started taking on Seattle cases.

Yeah, great news for cities like Seattle for sure. The only reason I care so much is selfishly because I hate my job and really want to find a new one, just don't want to throw a wrench into the mix with a brand new job until the green card is in hand....sigh, this is why we can't have nice things.

We had out interview yesterday. The officer was a really nice man, however it was difficult to see what he thinks about our case. He asked a few questions like how we met, what did we do prior meeting and asked us to name the people on some pictures. He went through i-485 form and corrected if something was changed. Also asked some questions in the end of the form and after that asked us whether we brought anything we want to include to the file. We gave him almost all evidence we had, he just looked at them real quick and took them. He didn't need wedding cards and letters on each of my and my husband name (just showing the same address), he even didn't look at them. I also brought some photos made even before visa. He looked at them and also gave them back.

In the end of the interview he said that he needs to look at security check which can take from 10 to 60 days. He gave us a paper saying that our case is being held for review and it can take up to 120 days. I checked the status of our case a couple of times yesterday since I was expecting to see the update about that. There was no updates and case was still at "Interview was scheduled". Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and checked the status and it was "New Card Is Being Produced" 🎉🎉 🎉

Congratulations!!! 😊

I'm in Seattle and I'm so disappointed every time I look at the USCIS website to see if there's any improvement... Especially when everyone else is being approved left and right.

I thought I was gonna be okay by waiting until I get my green card to go out of the country and visit my family for Christmas next year, but with these atrocious waiting times (I wouldn't be surprised if I were approved in 2021) it looks like I'm gonna have to apply for AP if I ever wanna hope to see my family again in Canada... They don't really have the means to travel either for different reasons.

At this point, if I get denied a green card, I won't bother pursuing this whole process anymore. The homesickness is very strong and I don't see the need to put myself through this again and again. I'd rather bring my husband back to Canada with me instead.
