hey all! this might be a really dumb question (?) but here goes: we didn't include a document style photo with our i-751 petition because by the time i hopefully get approved, it will have been way longer than 6 months (everything i read in preparation of filing said that you really don't need to include it with the petition for that reason). so at what point/how do uscis get people's photos for the 10 year green cards? i got notified that they've added my fingerprints to the case so that sounds like i won't need to attend another biometrics appt. so when do they get my photo?? :D

They get the photo from a biometrics apt, in this case they reused your biometrics (fingerprints and photo from your last application).

Bumping this one because I haven't seen much in the way of updates from anyone at the LIN service center. It seems like that service center is now one of the slowest in the nation. If you are processing at LIN don't forget to add/update your info on the spreadsheet!

Hello all,

I am LIN filler and last update I got after RFE was in March that they transfered my case and it has new jurisdiction. Meanwhile I applied for citizenship online and i just got the interview invite this week!!! Crazy how fast but removing conditions is still pending so hopefully wont be an issue after my interview for N-400. The interview is in June. I am in Minnesota. Good luck you all still waiting like I am but at least some movement here...

Hi all,

Just sharing as a reference for others watching their progress...  We received a new I-797 Notice of Action document in the mail today congratulating us on the approval of the removal of conditions. It states that we should expect the new green card within the next 60 days. We had filed on 8/5/2020 and this approval letter is dated 4/26/2021.

Side note, the previous biometrics must have been carried over... though, we never actually received any direct word on biometrics.

But, just wanted to share some good news on LIN progress, especially since it seemed LIN had been very quiet.

Yes, it did update on the app 3 days ago on the 27th, so one day after the letter was dated. I checked today after receiving the letter. I didn't see it update on the app originally, as it doesn't send any notification (and I had last checked the app two days prior to that update, so missed it).

So, it was a surprise in the mailbox today when received the letter. :)
