Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third. :bonk:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process smile.png That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by me, Dwheels76 on (currently May 2019 thread),
I hope they receive it soon!
I know the feeling.. sick of this process already. This really is a true test of how much we love our spouse, because I would not be going through all this ####### or stress for anyone else lol
How long is it supposed to take for an interview date ??
They schedule them one month in advance ....a lot of the embassies dont start scheduling until about the 2nd week of the month and it depends on what slots are available
How do you know uscis sent your case to nvc on Mar 29th? Did you call or check online.
My online shows only case approved, but I just hung up with a uscis tier 2 officer and she said my case was sent to NVC last week, but didn't give exact date of mailing when I asked. Hopefully they get it soon. Already been waiting 6 weeks+.
NOA2 Feb. 20, but still nothing from NVC.  Is it worthwhile to call NVC?  I've heard that it takes a month or more for the file to arrive at NVC and then another two months for a case number to be assigned.  Does this sound right?  Not sure if calling will do any good, just curious what others have done and if calling makes a difference.
received our case number on Friday, however not able to log in. keeps throwing an error: The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance. .. so frustrating :(
