  1. Hi, in early 2020 we submitted police clearance certificate for our daughter, she acquired from the Indian consulate in the US and we submitted it on the NVC portal. We got DQ and due to covid interview got cancelled and just got the rescheduled interview in Mumbai now. The pcc is more than 2 years old, but since my daughter has not visited India till now. She will visit India just for the interview. Will she need a new pcc. As per the NVC website, we don't think she will as she never visited India in the last 3 years. From NVC website: “Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview: You are more than 16 years old; The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and You still live in the country that issued the certificate.”
  2. Anyone apply for reentry permit recently. The biometrics timeline seems to be very long. We are planning to apply for the permit next month in California. How long will the biometrics appointment take?
