Hey all just a quick question I think I'm in the right place....My fiance (USC) sent off the petition on Feb 15th and he just got this text message...is it our NOA1? Would it be normal to get it so soon after sending it?

NOA1 is the paper copy. A week from date sent to the text/email is not unusual.

Great, thank you 😊 Im currently visiting my fiance so I wasn't expecting to hear anything while I was still here so it's a relief to know we got the basics right ...now it's a matter of the long wait right? We shouldn't have to do anything until we hear back again?

Pretty much correct.

NOA1 to NOA2 (or an RFE) is normally the longest wait of the K-1 process. That was averaging a little under 7 months for VJ users at the middle of last summer, and about 5 now.

You really don't have anything you have to do until your case gets to your consulate/embassy after flipping through the NVC, though a lot of people start putting together police certificates and other documents for the interview once they get NOA2.

We sent ours out on the 12th and we got our NOA1 on Wednesday! It may be slow progress rn but at least it's on the right track haha. Fingers crossed for everyone. We now just play the waiting game haha

That’s incredible. Freaking out a bit now as we have still not received NOA1. Just to clarify, not impatient, just concerned. Haha

Two things to check. Did they receive your packet as I hope you sent it with tracking. Second, did you check to see if your check has been cashed. If either of those happened then you will see your NOA1 shortly.

I sent it with tracking - you betchya. Received notification from Canada Post that it was received. As for if it was cashed or not, no clue as we sent a money order.

Finger (and toes) crossed everything is ok.

Hemos presentado el 22/02/19 y estamos muy emocionados 😍 😍

Like us, only anxious to know if they received, to feel that we really have done things right.
And you still do not receive the NOA1?
