I-130 February 2019 Filers

What service center are you? Many of us at Nebraska haven't heard anything as well (save for those who have already gotten approvals from I129f or expedite). They don't update online until approved/rfe and even then it can take some time to show up online, but I believe that if you call they can give you more accurate information and possibly even tell you if your case has been assigned to an agent yet or not. When I called the last few times (we submitted an I129f as many anecdotes have pointed to it speeding up I130 processing time, in Nebraska at least) I was told that both our I130 and I129f were both touched on August 12, while online it doesn't tell me that at all. As far as I know ours hasn't been assigned to an officer yet though and neither have we gotten any approval 😕

I am at the Texas Service Center which was lucky, but everyone I have checked from there has been approved in August. I submitted a request since it seems behind their normal schedule, but I will have to call when I get back to the US.

Yours should be coming soon, though it doesn't hurt to call once you're able to, you'll be able to get much more valuable information over the phone than on the websites (despite how many times the robot and the representatives tell you that the website gives the same information lol)

Nebraska is 12-15.5 months right now and working on August-September 2018  But there's speculation that filing I129f at Nebraska helps speed it up. Purely anecdotal though but doesn't hurt to try

The thing is..... We are already married. I was told that I could not legally file I-129f because we are already married.

Filing a 129f, at the same time as having a spouse I 130 in progress, triggers a petition for a K3 visa which allows the non US spouse to  enter and stay in the US while the I130 is being  processed. Very very few K3 visas are being issued , but the current discussion is whether or not filing for the K3 pushes a decision in the 130.... or not ! .

I think someone already explained it to him. If he doesn't do the due diligence of researching its hard to push someone through the door when they were shown it.

We received Dao's i-130 approval this morning. Texas processed in under 180 days!

can someone maybe help me understand this... my husband lives in Dallas, TX and our case is being processed in Nebraska. I am a bit confused why since there is a service center in Texas that has shorter processing times

it’s supposedly random allocation

USCIS assigns the service center location based on their workload and/or other factors......the petitioner's place of residence is totally irrelevant.

Since spouse is from Iraq, extra security and won't allow K3.....or so the powers that be have informed me.
