So my police certificates came today and before I could get to them my dog put a hole right through my picture on the certificate and crumpled it. Goodbye £51 😫 so much for trying to be ahead of the game

We received our NVC case number today vis email at 6 AM EST.  I am on hold with them right now attempting to get the invoice number.

Can either petitioner or beneficiary call the NVC for and update? Or does it have to be the petitioner only?

Hi everyone!!

 

So I am filling out my I134 form and I am stomped on one questions and I hope someone here can help!! I am not a U.S citizen by birth. One of the questions on here is:

 

If you are not a U.S citizen based on your birth in the United States, or a non-citizen E.S. national based on your birth in American Samoa and the following as appropriate:

11a I am Us citizend through naturalization

11b I am U.S citizen through parent or marriage

 

The thing is, I am a U.S citizen by my father being American and moving to the U.S when I was very little ( I have my American passport, I have dual citizenship). I don't have a naturalization certificate number or and A number. 

 

Can someone please help answer this question?

Your citizenship was gained through a parent so the answer is 11b. It's because your father is a USC and you gained it from him as he is your Parent and by birth rite you attain USC status as would any children you may have.

You don't have a CCN so leave it blank or N/A.

NOA2: Dec 27 (Notice date, received in USPS mail Dec 31, no updates to either website to this day)

 

No notification of any kind in either e-mail or postal mail despite updating AskNVC website.

Started calling to NVC Jan 10 (on 2 weeks mark)

Today finally was told  case arrived to NVC today

NVC Arrived: Jan 14

 

Moral of the story: Do not count on them to update via e-mail, calling seems to be the only reliable way to get updates. Call while having your WAC number  ready.

 

Update: Got my case and invoice number, I believe they were actually issued yesterday. Got it after calling. Still no e-mail updates of any kind. Was able to check https://ceac.state.gov status under Immigrant visa. Status: At NVC. Now hoping it will make alleged next week shipment to the embassies.

After you received your case and invoice number you used that information to log into the ceac website?

Are these just estimates or how do you find them? I called today and got my case # but that's it.  Date Package Received By NVC :

Login is a strong word. I only used my case number (starts with KEV) 

I was able to go to https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/ Swap Visa type to "Immigrant" then put in KEV number and CAPTCHA code and spits out status. Pretty similar to how it works on Old USCIS site.
