Strangely, I got a USCIS email update saying "the Post office picked up the mail containing your new card" it then said "The tracking number assigned is unavailable".

 

So I opened my Case Tracker app and voila, it was there.

Well there has been some movement lately. As of this morning I-485 went from  Received Evidence from my RFIE to Interview ready to be scheduled.

Being in NJ and with Newark FO being my FO, this could be a very very long wait. At least it's one step closer.

 

Still no word on my EAD nor AP yet.

As I typed that out my I485 went to "Interview Was Scheduled"

You would have likely received an RFE right away unless they are having trouble finding your medical records or your office is backlogged and they havent had time to issue the RFE (which I doubt).

Give them a call.

Called today and the lady said the case was still processing. However she did see movement on the case from yesterday.

 

Hopefully that means an RFE comes soon.

Because it's taken so long I doubt you'll get an RFE. The IO would have made a judgement right away after looking through your Afile for your medical records and requesting a new medical if they couldnt find it. They dont waste their time and hunt.

 

Likely your office us just slow. Approval will come though.

Hi December filers!

Still waiting on EAD, but blessed to have had an interview scheduled so soon.

We had our interview today in Montgomery, Alabama. It seems to have gone well although we didn't get an outright approval nor denial. She was very nice and asked the general questions as well as throwing some trick questions in there. In the end she told us that everything looked like it was great, that we had an easy case and that she had to get a senior officer to look everything over in order to determine the end result and that we would know within 30 days. 

 

I can't say our hearts didn't drop - I don't know why we expected to walk out with a stamp/approval. We are hoping for the best news.

Seems like interview went very well. Dont worry. I didnt have approval on the spot, but status changed the same day

Hi all,

I expedited my AP on July 25th, on August 2nd I received and email that I need to fax in supporting documents. I faxed it in the same day. 

How long does it take for USCIS to respond to an Expedited case?

Great! I’m waiting for  interview scheduled since my RFE was received by them March 5.

Happy to report that his EAD was approved the day of our green card interview - of course the USCIS app was down this weekend and there wouldn't be an update 😉

Please be aware that I have called Tier 2 officer 4 days after I have faxed all documentation and he submitted a service request for me and told me NBC would contact me back before August 10th. They have sent me an email on August 1st confirming that my application has been approved. Good luck and let me know how it went!

Thank you so much for your response! So you followed any guideline for after you submitted the evidence? You just made a phone call to check the status?
