APPROVED!

I had my interview on Feb 12 and brought all of the documents they asked on P3 letter they emailed me.

On the day of interview the CO said that my visa was 99% approved. They have an additional requirement and they told us on the day of the interview haha. So they ask for 2018 IRS tax return transcript. Once that transcript is emailed to the embassy they can issue the visa.

I was putting on AP for 3 days then the status changes to be issued now. So Happy! Congrats everyone who have been approved or even got married! To those who are still waiting, have faith! Your visa will be coming to you soon!

Congratulations!

I was wondering if they asked for the tax return transcript for 2017? The deadline for 2018 is on April 14, so most people haven't filed their taxes (including me). It seems unreasonable to ask for a document that isn't due yet and takes weeks to process.

Thanks.

Congrats! 🎈 please Where can someone check the status after k1 visa approval?

ceac.state.gov You use "immigrant" and your case number. Once your case changes to "non-Immigrant" then you are a few days from the visa being issued.

Thanks.

Thank you. They asked 2018 tax return transcript. My fiance had filed his 2018 tax earlier. I went to the interview with another K1 applicant and she sent her fiance's 2017 tax return transcript because her fiance hasn't filed yet. And she was approved too.

So if the interview is before April, the embassy accepts 2017 tax return transcript.

But when I asked the embassy why I wasn't told earlier for the additional document, they said sorry because it is a new requirement they have. But overall we're still glad that we're approved and the officer was really nice and fun😊

@Boki & Nem by the way when is your interview?

They don't ask for a the 2018 as it's not due till April 15 so you use 2017 tax year to meet their requirements. If it were after April 15 then you most assuredly must present 2018 or have a very good explanation and I hear they don't except that the dog ate my tax return as excuse. :jest:

Hello all. On CEAC website my visa status changed to Application Received  yesterday (was in Ready all this time), then this morning I saw it in Administrative Processing  and half an hour later to Issued!

is this it then, should I expect a phone call or an email from the embassy any day now? Or today 🤗?

Rob has to go back to work and is leaving on Saturday, so I hope to follow him in couple of days.

Right! Thanks for clearing that up. I’ve always had a status under ‘immigrant’ but invalid case number for ‘non-immigrant’ but once I actually have a status for NIV that is good news?

Good luck to everyone still waiting, and everyone who's getting started with their lives together here in the US.

Congrats, and safe flight to Anastasia. Two week after my interview I was already in the USA. Guyana move pretty fast to process visa and my ticket was bought even before my interview 🤦🏻‍♀️ Haha not advising anyone to do that though. All the best 😊

Hi all.

Does anybody knows what it means  this outcome of my interview...?

This consul informed to me that he wasnt able to approve the K1 visa because the system was down.

He reviewed and took all the documents, told me they were correct.

He made few questions about my fiance, etc.

He took my passport, the documents and my finger prints and the oath.

While he was reviewing the documents he gave me the piece of paper informing about domestic violence.

I was looking  into his eyes without believing what he was saying. The system was down, I cant aprove the visa.

He also said I should have the visa with my passport in one or two weeks but I CANT TRUST HIM after reading nightmare stories here 😭

Thanks

Cata
