Greetings everyone:

Does anyone know if the embassies will accept a scanned/printed PDF version (with the original signature included) of the Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) during the interview?

This is very country specific. Does it state whether it must be original in your packet 3? Hopefully someone from Kenya will be able to answer from experience.

Congrats to everyone who got their approval!

Now how long should we wait for it to be sent to NVC? My USC petitioner called the NVC and they said that we should get an update after 6weeks.

We waited around 3-4 weeks for the NVC case number, some people are lucky and get it quicker, others will wait a bit longer.

It’s been 20 days since the uscis received our evidence for the information they requested. Can anyone give me a number that I can actually reach a person to talk to because the number I called is just automated?

They are telling you to wait because your case is still within normal processing times.

Calling is not going to move your file forward. They are not going to be able to tell you anything because the adjudicator of your case does not speak with the call center nor do they notate your file. Even a congress person can't move your file forward. Your just wasting your time.

4-6 weeks is normal and then from a day to 3 weeks for a case number to be assigned. Calling USCIS/NVC now is a waste of them. You still have a ways to go.

To answer your questions please refer to the information contained in the following links. Search out others from Kenya that can help you. Asking folks from Germany, Spain or South Korea will not have specific answers for your embassy. Link is in this information also.

Each embassy is different. Check the links I gave you above for the answer. If none is found then email the embassy and ask. I usually keep that information but I have nothing from Kenya. If you could come back to this thread and post your answer I can include it in the information I just gave you. Thanks.

My case is 205 days already. When can I start to ask if my case is outside normal processing time? Where to check the normal processing time?

They said they asked for more evidence on Jan 17 but sent out the letter on Jan 29, we sent the evidence on Feb 9.
