Can my fiancé from Taiwan still come to visit me during the K1 process?. We received the NOA 1 on July 13, 2018 and still haven’t received an NOA 2.

See this thread:

Basically although it can be tricky (though not impossible) to get a new tourist visa with a pending K-1, if your fiancé(e) already has a valid US visa or is eligible for the visa waiver program, you're fine.

Shoot! I'm like one week away for me to be able to inquire about my case in the USCIS website. Then suddenly the processing times changed to 5.5 Months to 7.5 Months (K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiancé(e) and/or dependent child) | June 22, 2018. 😭😭

NOA1, July 23/26

still waiting, 180 days already. it's frustrating...

It's likely gonna get RFE

I saw some August filers, same service center got approved already.

Update:

my fiance called USCIS on Jan 28, was on hold for an hour and half. They said our case get RFE on Jan 17, the letter haven’t sent out yet.

Hopefully we get the letter soon and I hope the evidence they want is not something that we can’t get,

Online status is still not update. Still say “Case was received”

This is very frustrating, I have been trying to get in touch with somebody from USCIS and I always get an auotmated message. How were you able to get in touch with them via phone call?

Yeah, I feel you. We didn't expect to reach to anyone this time but we still wanted to try, he was on hold for an hour or so. I checked my online status today and it says they mailed the RFE letter to us the day after we called them.

Hope you hear from them soon!

I noticed it keeps changing! It was 27th June then 22nd and now 24th June. I'm waiting for it to pass the 27th July myself but it's still frustrating when that date keeps moving!

So has anybody ever had on their case status an update date but no explanation for what they did?

My timeline on USCIS shows name updated on 30th August but when I'm on the case main page it shows last update 14th September and its driving me nuts as when I asked the call centre they couldn't tell me. Just wondered if anyone had had this as well?

I was able to get in touch with Uscis earlier and they told me my case number is still considered on the normal processing time and I should be hearing an update within 1 month. Just staying positive and hopefully hearing an update soon.

Just an update regarding my case. So I got this message the other day regarding my inquiry.

"The status of this service request is:

On 01/30/2019, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, or Notice of Intent to Deny.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience."

Have anyone here got the same letter? Does it really take 45 days before I can get the next notice of action?

Omg we got our approval!! Still coming down from the high and doubt I will sleep tonight. My partner is on a drill ship and I can’t talk to him which sucks but the message I’m going to send will sure brighten his day!

Thanks to everyone who advised me past few days!

Over one million VJ'rs have gotten that response. No it usually doesn't take that long but remember your mileage may vary.
