We are going through the Seattle office also. Biometrics were done mid July. No updates on site. Still just shows finger print fee received.

Local office has no impact on EAD
That's all at the NBC

Field office is what matters for ur GC
Which is why you see people with a GC in like 3 months and others 2 years

EAD's are almost processed in the order they are received all at NBC

Anyone else getting these emails every week? I suppose its computer generated and means nothing at all.

We're also going through Seattle and I see that the average wait times for the Spokane office are about 1/3 those at Seattle. Is there any mechanism for us to request our case be transferred to the Spokane field office? I'd take a 5 hour drive if it means cutting 6 months off the waiting period...!

I got two emails 2 days ago with the same message that there are no updates on my petition. USCIS is of no help either, just have to wait for a letter

Green card came in the mail today, what a relief. 

 

The USPS tracking actually said it was delivered yesterday to the mailbox but it wasn't there and I was really worried that they misdelivered it. I read that USCIS will make you pay 450$ to replace it if the tracking says it was delivered which is complete BS. 

 

The way they send these important documents out is not secure at all. I wish they'd just hold it at the post office and require ID to pick it up - that's what they do it Canada for passports.

 

Anyways, I hope to hear about more progress and good news on your journeys soon!

When was your interview, if you don't mind my asking? My husband's interview is next month, and we were wondering how long it might take to get the green card, assuming the interview goes well and no hold ups. Our "wedding" celebration is two weeks after the interview, so we're hoping we won't still have it hanging over our heads by the time it roles around.

It was August 16th, so it took exactly a week to receive from the date of the interview.

 

These are the statuses I got after the interview:

8/16/2018: Card in production (about 2 hours after interview) 

8/20/2018: Card was mailed

8/21/2018: Picked up by USPS - with tracking number

8/22/2018: Card was delivered (because USPS tracking said so)
