    Completed ceremony in Roseville this week. Overall process only took like 30-40 mins, but in/out duration was close to 3 hours… luckily I got a last minute passport appointment option from city clerk the same day because USPS doesn’t take walk, and passport will show up in May sometime.     After the combo interview 2 weeks ago, my I-751 was officially approved in the system today.

    Quick update - 2 weeks after the interview, system finally showed I-751 was approved and Oath ceremony will be scheduled. The ceremony should be in the end of February. It also seems harder to get a passport right away near this area, the passport request appointment is scheduled 4+ months out if you are lucky/can find available time slot. Book the appointment ahead if you want/need to travel with the new passport!

    My I-751 case today had a update, showed case transferred to another office. I guess they have to transfer it for the final N-400 approval, it’s just a matter of time…

    No my case didn't get transferred, I didn't even know that I would get a combo interview lol. I think there's some sort of online copy thing for I751 hence my OI can see the I751 during the interview.

    I think there's no standard practice. It all really depends on the officer because I heard many different stories. In my case she just let my husband stayed the whole time for I751 and N400, and we did a mixed interview, started with writing/reading/civic test, and then did I751, and then back to the N400 yes/no questions (from your N400 form). I didn't travel outside of US for since I get my PR card, officer did ask that question though. I think it should be fine as long as you were out for not too long, and can explain the trip purpose.

    Never too late! I just downloaded the material from uscis website, they have the civic test with multiple versions(basic questions, text format, questions with background introduction etc.). Per their requirement I used the 2008 version, there’s total 100 questions. It’ll take some time to memorize them all, I started about 2 weeks prior to my interview. You can also find the writing and reading materials from the website , they are quite easy. In my interview the officer only read one sentence and I wrote it down on the tablet as the writing test, and I read one sentence from the tablet as the reading test. Focus on the civic practice first, leave the reading/writing to the last.

    Thank you!!! Yes it’s quite amazing, in my case the N-400 definitely pulled in the I-751’s approval timeline. My initial AOS was in Salt Lake but I moved out 2 years ago. I’ve heard the N-400 in Salt Lake is quite fast/easy too, good luck!!

    I had a combo interview today, N-400 with a pending LIN I-751. Both cases were approved. 751 interview questions were the basic ones, how we meet, where we live, etc., in the end officer asked for the most recent bill as additional supporting documents and that was it. System hasn’t been updated yet but I’ll keep watching. This long journey is finally getting to the end. Wish you all best of luck and hang on tight!

    Had my 751/400 combo interview today, both were approved. It was probably the best immigration interview ever, easy and straightforward. Oath is probably going to be at the end of February as the earliest. Good luck everyone!

    My interview went very well. The officer was a lady, super nice/sweet/chill, I waited 50 mins and then did the combo interview (have a pending 751). Questions were very simple, like how we meet, where do we live etc., and civic test was the most basic ones too, like when do we celebrate the Independence Day, etc. Both cases were approved but it sounds like it’ll take some time to take effective in system, so I should expect a February oath at the earliest. I asked the name change, and so far they don’t take any name change, maybe sometime in the future. Good luck to you too!!!

    Yes I'm pretty excited about it, but I got about 6 weeks' time to prepare so I'd better start on the civic test ... I've been watching the progress for the VJers that is in Sacramento office, I think the processing time is trending much better, it was pretty consistent as 6-7 months, the most recent ones (myself included) are ~5 months from the NOA1 to interview. This is a good sign and hopefully it turns to ~4 months processing timing when it's your turn. I'll try to change name too in the office, will let you know if it works or not. Good luck!

    Mine is in Nebraska, no movement at all since the biometrics reuse notification. I submitted the citizenship though, will get citizenship interview in 6 weeks but the i-751 is still pending lol. No sign of i-751 transfer, hope that I can get my combo interview, or else it'll be another few months of endless waiting.

    I actually just got a notification that interview will be in January! Totally unexpected but yeah it’s about 5 months for me.

    Same here, removal of condition didn’t change at all and I’m over 1 year now. Hopefully the N-400 will force some movement on the removal of condition. Luckily this is the last step of the immigration so nobody need to suffer again. I didn’t know that Sacramento doesn’t do name change… I was debating if I should update my name or not during citizenship process, now it’s easy, I can’t even if I want lol

    Maybe re-create a new one. I just submitted mine over the last weekend, it also says ‘being actively reviewed’. I think it’s just really try to make people feel good lol. When the I-751 is transferred, likely you’ll get a combo interview. I don’t know if mine will be the same or if they can just approve it… we’ll see.     I finally submitted my N400 yesterday! When I submitted, it said estimate 16 months waiting time. Woke up this morning, case was updated to under actively review and estimate time changed to 10 months😂😂😂

    A friend of mine is in wsimilar situation, still waiting for the interview. They submitted a few months later than yours, but their I-751 was approved shortly after filing the n-400 online form.

    Yeah as long as you mail it out it’s fine, it doesn’t need to be with the i751 package. You can read the i865 form in USCIS website, it’s very straightforward - essentially it’s the change of the address for your sponsor (in this case likely is your spouse). The online form you filled in was about your own address

    Make sure your spouse mail the i865 form. A lot of the people don’t know this step, we didn’t know either until much later…

    Thanks for sharing your current status and thoughts! 12 months is not bad at all, especially with us all going through years of immigration processes. I’ll likely to submit n-400 when window opens up in 1 month and I’m also LIN I-751, one of the slowest center lol. wish you and me both good luck on it, and keep us posted if there’s any news.
