Does anyone know if it’s possible to request for a case to be transferred to a different state?

The only way for your case to be transferred to a different field office (some states -- including Washington -- have multiple field offices; others have none; some field offices handle cases from multiple states) is by you actually moving to somewhere covered by a different field office. This doesn't completely 'send you to the back of the line', but certainly adds time to processing your case.

If there were an easy way to do this, everyone would try to get their case processed at the fastest field offices (with the result that they wouldn't be the fastest anymore).

We had our interview in Las Vegas finally after 1 yr and 3 months of waiting.
The interview was as easy as it gets. Not a single question was asked regarding our relationship, instead all the questions fro the I-485 form were re-iterated, asked if she understood that and the officer had her sign. Didn't even ask for proof, we offered instead to provide  photos and bills, car and health insurance and so on.
Approved 30 minutes after we were done.
Card is being produced and will be sent.

Well we had our interview yesterday. I am the citizen. The interviewer didnt ask me a single question. Asked my wife to verify all info in the i485 application, asked her all of the answer yes or no questions in the application, asked her when her last entry to the us was, to see her birth certificate, asked her my middle name and birth date, and then thanked us and said we would have an answer in 30 to 60 days. He asked really nothing about our relationship or life, didnt look at any supporting evidence like a lease, shared bank accounts insurance etc etc. Felt weird to me. I guess it went well, but I really have no idea.

Still waiting, according to the processing timeline, I have another 4 months waiting to get my interview, not sure what happen but it's really slow in SLC..

And also, really slow on EAD, I've sent EAD renewal but estimate another 1-2 months to get new EAD, that means... I have 1-2 months gap that old EAD is expired and no new EAD and no greencard... Life is hard:mellow:

I-485/765/131:

06/01/2018 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP through UPS, received NOA1 on 6/11. Received bio appointment on 6/15 and completed on scheduled date 6/29.

07/23/2019 - AOS interview was scheduled on 8/27. In the interview USCIS can't make decision because original K1 file got split up somewhere.

11/25/2019 - AOS got approved, received the actual card in mail on 12/2.

I-751:

09/05/2021 - Sent ROC through FedEx, delivered on 9/7, received message e-notification on 9/9 stated case was received, check is cashed on 9/10, NOA1 in mailbox on 9/13.

You did get your EAD extension letter, right? It automatically extends your EAD by 180 days. That should cover any potential gap.

Hi LizM,

Thanks for replying! Yeah I did get my EAD extension letter so I could still work legally, but I'm not sure that would work for AP as well, if not then if there's any emergency I couldn't go back to my hometown...

Hello!

I have been lurking this forum for almost two years and finally received a 'New Card is being produced' confirmation on the site as of yesterday, July 13th and wanted to provide a quick update in terms of timeline. We got our K-1 visa last April, and got married in late May 2018. We applied for AOS  at the end June 2018, and completed biometrics in late July 2018. Got my EAD in late October 2018. Didn't hear anything re: an interview for about a year until June 3rd where we got notice of our interview being scheduled. Our interview was on July 9th this week in Minneapolis and we did not get an approval on the spot. Instead, we received a piece of paper with a box checked saying our case would require a review. The website was updated early yesterday morning saying our card is being produced.

Interview questions were pretty simple, a large portion of the interview was spent asking my husband (the petitioner) questions about me/our relationship/and information that was submitted in the adjustment application (dates of birth, date of marriage). The same was asked of me, and then we both were asked questions about our relationship timeline (when did we start dating? how did we meet? what are our future plans as a family? What were our future career plans? Do we have pets? Kids? etc.). We had our lawyer present with us at the meeting, and we also brought over documentation such as a photos of us since we got married/wedding invitations from friends with our address on it/shared lease/two months of statements from our joint bank account. I also brought over other documents including my vaccination record but the officer did not ask for it. They did take the photos, so would recommend bringing copies or copying the photos into a word document and printing that out to give to them. We also captioned all the photos with the date, location and names of any other people in the photos with us and their relationship to us.

Everyone here has been helpful and I quietly spent many a night over the last couple of years anxiously reading posts + looking over timelines to ease the anxiety that comes with all of the waiting. I will update my timeline fairly soon once I am able to dig up all of the documents and recall the exact dates we received NOAs, etc. For those who have reached this point, congratulations! For those who have not, keep pushing -- almost there!

Hello guys I just want to ask.. My interview has been cancelled 3 days ago. What does it mean? I’m really confused😩

How is going right now, have you called them? Did you actually receive the interview notification? I've seen a few people that they didn't receive the mail letter, so they missed their interview
