I'm with ya.. it's so hard not to obsess over it constantly! I'm really trying to focus on other things but it's tough!

Hi everyone! We are currently waiting for our Case No and my chosen embassy is UAE. We tried calling NVC 12 working days after our NOA2 date. The first agent at NVC said our case is at NVC already but he doesn’t have the permission to access the progress of our case. The first agent then have us transfered to another NVC agent for further info. Now, the 2nd agent told us that ours is a special case because it needs to be done electronically and further told us that some cases doesn’t need to be done electronically and would wait up until 8 weeks. Should that be a concern? TIA

Hi good day to all my fellow Augustines. Helping a friend to her problem. She paid her visa already thrue bank now when she was making her appointment interveiw, she put the receipt number wrong for her 1 kid from the mrv slip, meaning she swap accidentally n mrc receipt to her kids. She receive an email only one kid was included on her interveiw. Pls. Help my friend, shes so stress after all & Whats the best thing we she will do. @naes girl help us! By the way were from the Philippines.

I checked the app yesterday, March 14, around 12:00 pm and there weren't any updates. I checked an hour later and there were two new updates:
1) "On March 14, 2018, we sent a response to your general inquiry. referral number ######;" and

2) "On March 14, 2018, your general inquiry, referral number ######, was completed."

Fiance called again, but they told him there wasn't anything new that they could provide him with. He's going to try calling again later. I wish I could just call to find out, but they've already informed me that as a beneficiary I cannot get any info without him also on the line. Hoping that it is good news as I am anxious and stressed AF.

 

Today is Day 211 for us.

Yesterday (March 19 2018), my fiance received a letter from USCIS (dated March 14 2018, same day that the app was updated) in regards to his service request placed on March 05 2018. The letter indicated the following:

"Your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. We cannot make a decision on your case until we receive the results of these security checks. We hope this information is helpful to you."

Today (March 20 2018), my fiance received notification via informed delivery that he was to receive another letter from USCIS.

The letter is dated March 15 2018 and indicates that our application has been approved!
 

I think they sent out bogus "pending background check" letters to try to dissuade people from contacting them for further updates.

Timeline has been updated. A little relieved, but there are still a lot of steps ahead.

Contact the Embassy directly.  They're usually good about getting back to you quickly with an answer.
