Can anyone tell me: NVC says we are CEAC (guess this is electronic processing) have to call the immigrant number and press 5. They keep telling me no case number yet and will take 6 weeks. It was recieved the 15th of march. So it took 18 days to get there. I thought I read someplace that the electronic processing actually slows it down? Our embassy is Dublin. Thank You in Advance! @Naes perhaps you know?

We were approved 2/26, NVC received 3/6 (digitally), and got our NVC case # 3/14.  That included a federal holiday and two days closure due to severe storms.

It arrived at the embassy 3/19.  My fiance received his packet 3 on 3/19 as well.

The packet 3 was very similar to many others posted online.  For the past 8 weeks he has been working on all the items he expected in it, including vaccinations and medical exam. He was able to get a 3/26 interview, and is ready for it.

@Sleepless.Seattle Oh wow! very fast. Finland is rolling!! :D

Just a note to others:
For Some embassies, you cannot do your medical exam in advance until the interview is booked and you can provide to them the confirmation that the interview is booked. And some embassies expect your medical to be at least a week before the interview. And since for all, you cannot book interview until case is at the embassy, this means usually booking interviews weeks in advance. So be prepared.
Once you get your NOA2, double check your embassy requirements before you do anything!!

I heard someone came to an interview in the other threads and they wouldn't grant it because they didn't follow procedure!

Well for your case, it definitely means that you must schedule interview first before medical.
I've heard of many that go to the embassies like a few days after their medical and if the result of your medical is not there, they do hold on to your Visa until you are cleared.
Packets 3/4s usually explain these medical/interview steps.

I only made my point because @Sleepless.Seattle seemed to have done their medical weeks in advance before their case even got to embassy, as their case only got there today. That's very unusual (?) and I just wanted to remind others to pay attention to their own embassies.

They say 6weeks to everyone (esp. who is in the new electronic system) it usually doesn't take that long. But yep electronic system first slows down the part to get the case number but later gets faster as others :)
