I just wanted to ask since we received a notice from the app and website last March 7 that we have RFE, we got the mail last March 12 and send the missing document on March 14, should we expect to get an acknowledgement letter from uscis saying they received our response for the rfe

We were approved 2/26, NVC received 3/6 (digitally), and got our NVC case # 3/14.  That included a federal holiday and two days closure due to severe storms.

It arrived at the embassy 3/19.  My fiance received his packet 3 on 3/19 as well.

The packet 3 was very similar to many others posted online.  For the past 8 weeks he has been working on all the items he expected in it, including vaccinations and medical exam. He was able to get a 3/26 interview, and is ready for it.

That is nice. Online it said ready for us today too and arrived at the embassy. After doing the steps to schedule interview, it said our case number is not ready to be scheduled yet. I was a bit discouraged. He hasn't received the package yet, so maybe tomorrow. If not I am calling. Anyone else have this issue?

They say 6weeks to everyone (esp. who is in the new electronic system) it usually doesn't take that long. But yep electronic system first slows down the part to get the case number but later gets faster as others :)

Is there any baseline of recent august folks who went through CEAC and how long it takes? I think I saw others mentioning this wait. Any idea? A week, two? 7 days avg? Thnx!

Hi all!

I haven't posted on this thread, but have been following it for awhile. We got our NOA1 on August 28th and just received the NOA2 approval email today, March 19th. It's been a long wait, but it's finally happened!! Now for the visa process. How long do I need to wait before I call the NVC to get our case number?

don't pay attention to what the reps say, I had one even tell me "it under further administrative processing" which was bogus. My lawyer called them after I told him that he was like "#######??" NVCs job is to only assign a case number and transmit the file. and then the lady he spoke to at NVC confirmed and said we only prepare and send the file to the embassy, we do no reviews or another administrative work here"
