Can anybody tell me what exactly happens when you speak to a tier 2 officer? I am going on 55 days now since requesting an expedite. I've called USCIS several times as you can imagine and am usually told I can put through a service request which always leads to a generic email being sent to us within 5 days always citing "workload factors unrelated" to our case being responsible for a delay. I am wondering if there is any point t all to speaking to a tier 2 person and what the process for that is.

Married since 3/10/2017

I think you should get help from a congressman/ congresswoman or a senator. It really helped me.

I've already contacted both senators and my congresswomen. None have done much for me unfortunately. I've also tried the ombudsmen which flat out refused to help me since my application is "within the normal processing times" The only thing I haven't done is ask to speak to a tier 2 officer because I'm not really sure what that is... Never heard of it other than on this forum.

Did they request evidence for your expedite yet? If so I will resend it or contact them to double check if they received it the first time.

If you never received a request I would call and file for new request for expedite.

Speaking Tier 2 will not do much at this point but try, you have nothing to lose

To speak to them call whenthey open at 8:01AM Eastern time

Option 1 then 2 then 4 then 6, input receipt number then wait. Once you speak to a customer service agent explain your situation and ask to speak to a Tier 2, you will be transferred

Yes I sent my evidence on June 11 and they confirmed receipt on June 14th. Then I resent it twice in July haha. And they confirmed receipt again. I will try to speak to someone else I guess because all of the service requests I have done have had zero results. Thanks anyway.

New Card Is Being Produced

Woohoooo 😍😍 my Senators office told me that they really had to fight the NBC to push my case at the top because even though I had put in an expedite, my case was still on the normal processing times piles. He literally had to call his person at USCIS and tell them he want's to speak to their manager who in the end took my file out of the load and put it on a desk!!! I’m proud of my senator haha!  I suggest you guys push them if you are still stuck on this.

On another note, I only got an update online on the EAD and not AP but I was aware that they come together. For everyone else that got the card, did it come as EAD / AP combo or just EAD

they expedite both. Its one card that serves both as EAD and AP(if you applied) .

I applied both but the online update is just for the ead. Is that normal?

Also I only got the “new card being produced” email for EAD

Hi friends,

I am thankful for having this forum available for us May 2019 filers!

So here's my timeline:

May 16, 2019 - I 485, I 765 and AP received by USCIS NBC

June 03, 2019 - received 3 NOAs

June 11, 2019 - received letter for biometrics appointment

June 26, 2019 - biometrics appointment done

June 28, 2019 - Case status online changed to "FINGERPRINT REVIEW WAS COMPLETED"

Now, I got a very promising job offer from a biotech company here in the Bay Area that I cannot put down because it's my dream job.

July 17, 2019 - submitted a congressional expedite request for my i 765  under the "SEVERE FINANCIAL LOSS" category.. sent my supporting documents like my husband's student loan and another remaining loans, an offer letter from the company and a cover letter addressed to the USCIS..

July 26, 2019 - called the USCIS customer care to file a expedite request on my own because I haven't seen any updates from the past week which made me anxious for my offer will start on Aug 12, 2019.

August 1, 2019 - Received an update from my congresswoman's office that my i 765 is routed for expediting...

August 2, 2019 (today) - USCIS emailed me that my case is under review. And on my case status online, here's the update:

On August 2, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1S2071901266MSC, was completed.

  • 08/02/2019
    sign_icon.png

On August 2, 2019, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1S2071901266MSC.

  • 08/02/2019
    sign_icon.png

On August 2, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1S2071901266MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

My question is, how long shall I expect for a reply or update from them? Thankfully, I was able to move my start date to Aug 26.. i am just wondering how most of people with expediting experiences got any update from them after receiving these notifications?

Thank you everyone! Let's fight until we get that green card.. i just cannot wait to start a life with my husband because it is just so depressing to stay at home for months doing nothing.. this is why i decided to expedite. ❤

Good evening, Expedite Friends:

So, here’s a scenario to consider:

Expedite for EAD/AP was approved and combo card was received in early June.

I-485 has been on “interview is ready to be scheduled.”

I am working, but a part of my job requires me to have a TWIC, which can only be initiated (and approved) when I get my actual Perm Res card.  This is all being held up because of the delay in getting to the Interview.

Whatcha think?

File another Expedite request citing the critical nature of the TWIC and the relevance to my employment and the requirement of the Perm Status being approved?

TYIA....

Is it normal to not receive an email once you fax your EAD expedite proof documents?

We faxed everything in on 7/17 and the fax machine said "Completed - all pages sent" but we never received any notification that they were received. To be fair though, we never received any email notifications at all since applying for the AOS/EAD/AP.

Do you think we should try faxing everything again?

AOS/EAD/AP

05/31/2019    I-485, I-131 and I-765 sent

06/06/2019   NOA1 Notice Date

06/14/2019   Biometrics Appointment letter received

07/01/2019   Biometrics Appointment

07/05/2019   Called USCIS to Expedite EAD based on job offer

07/17/2019   RFE letter received by mail for expedite

07/17/2019   Faxed supporting documents for expedite

08/06/2019   Called USCIS to inquire if fax was received

08/09/2019   Card in Production!

Totally normal. We never received any notification either. I aced the docs again a week later then called to see if they had received them.
