The general opinion that RFEs get updated online... nope.  We have an RFE on the way sent 3 days ago, and online still shows "Received"...

I'm taking it as good news since at least the case has been touched, but yeah - not only approvals avoid online updating.

tbh I'm SO GLAD you are receiving some info form them ... I would take an RFE in a heart beat right now...

I've definitely taken it as good news.  We have a valid relationship so there is no RFE they can possibly send that scares me.  At least I know its been touched and there is a quick turnaround once we overnight it right back to them.

I'll let you know what the RFE is for when it arrives (he couldn't tell us on the phone)

This managed to get him to Tier 2, and get a good solid answer.

So when you call, tell them you want to speak to a Tier 2 Representative about our case.

if they say you can't because it is within normal processing times, or that they are 'currently processing May 1st cases', then tell them that the website is out of date since it says they were processing May 1st as of September 30th... thats two and a half months ago.

Then tell her you have a list of case numbers from AFTER our date of June 12th, which have been approved, and therefore you want to speak with a Tier 2 to find out what is happening specifically with our case.

Of course you know I have hundreds of case numbers from the scans I run, but here are just a few to prove our point...

WAC1790363934 - Filed 15th June, approved 15th December
WAC1790364036 - Filed 15th June, approved 15th December
WAC1790367610 - Filed 19th June, approved 19th December
WAC1790369234 - Filed 20th June, approved 19th December
WAC1790369226 - Filed 20th June, approved 20th December
WAC1790369882 - Filed 20th June, approved 20th December
 
When you get to speak to a Tier 2, just explain that you were of the understanding that cases are dealt with in order, and you have those cases to show that ours has been left behind and you'd like to understand why... is it background checks?  is it assigned to an adjudicator? etc etc......

i asked for my approval for Christmas that's all June 8th here! 

I called this morning and got the same response that USCIS has been working on May 1 for 2 weeks now i should have a response in 2 more months. WOW! i get more information on the forum and the app that calling this call center.to top it off i had the only argument this more with my fiancee because i can't make it for new years and he is more frustrated than me this little love story is on a rocky road. I can't just pick up and move with my kid's no where is really safe but my kids wont adapt!!!!! neither would I. at this point im just like god take the wheel i can't anymore  im about to flip the out now.

yes please keep my posted as I could face the same situation (hopefully soon) - no RFE scares me.. I actually just receive it as procedural... like you, I'm also not worried  -- merry Christmas brother - your case was touched :wub:

Well informed delivery shows I have a letter coming from USCIS, not sure what it will be until later today.  My case still shows received.

 

 

June 9th NOA1          December 15th NOA2      January 18th NVC Received

January 29th NVC Number     January 31 NVC left    Feb 5th Embassy Received

Feb 9th Filed DS-160 and scheduled interview      March 21st Medical 😭   March 27 second medical 

April 02 medical results   Interview: Grandmother's Birthday. :)  Arrival of Fiancee: 04/13/2018

Wedding Date: 5/27/2018  AOS sent: 6/02/2018 Bio-meterics 8/17/2018  Approved 2 year Green Card: 10/10/2018 Notice of Action 10/15/2018

2 Year conditional Green Card 10/17/2018  Now living our life keeping in mind to fill paperwork for 10 year card 7/20/2020.

Yes, correct.  The tier 1 customer service reps do not have any information regarding particular cases and if you want to learn something about your case you need to speak to someone higher.
