I can't fly. It's that simple

Have you tried hypnosis? Or tranquilisers? Many airports offer "fear of flying" courses to help people overcome this irrational fear. I work for an airline. It's the safest form of travel apart from a cruise ship. Cargo ships sink more often than planes crash.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

The OP's issue with a K-1 is he needs to meet her in person at least once first. So he wants her to visit since he won't fly.

Getting a tourist visa to Canada would be just about as hard as the US, IMHO. I don't know Mexico's processes, but that may be the route to go.

Thanks for the info. Yes, probably going to Mexico will be a better option then. I thought of the K1 visa since I think if the OP's GF can fly to Mexico and meet him there first, then they can go the K1 process route here in the US afterwards since it is much easier to get instead of visitor's visa, fewer denials..just my personal opinion. Trying for a B2, if you have the money, is worth a shot, but it;s a long shot, as many mentioned here.

Have you considered either therapy/ a sedative during the flight, or booking a cruise to see her?

Really, I'm telling you it is not that bad.  If I can do it anybody can do it.  My fear of flying was insanely bad.  And I thought of all the things you are such as going by ship.  But the reality was I needed to just get on the plane.  I got on the plane with no medication and I didn't enjoy it but it was not so bad.  I have made several trips since then and now I just get a little medication from my doctor to help and I fly with no problem.  I know you don't think you can't do it but you can.  Believe me, if I can do it so can you.  Go talk to your doctor and then book your flight.  You will be so happy you did.  You don't want to miss seeing her country, her family, her culture.  It is a wonderful experience.

Seriously, I've never seen this many bad excuses before.. Why don't you just find yourself a woman in your own country then, if she isn't worth "risking" taking a plane ride for? Better yet, a woman in your own city, then you wouldn't even have to drive either. You could take the bus. Or the bicycle perhaps?

Didn't know flying was a bad excuse. Lets something you have a phobia for and see how much pressure you would handle. Didn't I just state i was going to meet her in mexico?

If I had a phobia I would try everything and get all the help I possibly could to try and make it better, especially if it was about me and my husband spending time together. No phobia would be worth more than my relationship with my husband. From what I can understand your only excuse is "I'm scared of flying and I won't bother doing anything about it, I'll just have this girl whom have NEVER met me fly halfways around the world instead, to a country like Mexico. That should make her feel totally comfy and cozy".

Welp she has no problem travelling. It doesn't mattee how it happens as long as it does. I have anxiety as well as fear of flying. Could I try meds? Sure. Meds don't work for everyone and could backfire. Just driving by the airport closest to me freaks me out. You want want me to be on a plane for 18hr? nope
