I was reading other posts and really I am very worry now. I met to my fiance by a relative  we have in common.  Few months ago my relative told me  we could be good friends. I had finished with a relationship some months ago and my fiance had more 1 year if any compromise. Then I contacted to my fiance and I can to say of since first moment we had a great relationship like friends , alway we talked  and really I was happy for met her. few months later I asked her about have a relationship to long distance and she told me that yes. Some weeks ago she came to visit me and really I knew that she is the woman with  I want to share my life and I asked her be my wife and she told me yes, really We are in love and at August 7 we sent the form I-129F, we have received of NOA1 now. But I can see now than maybe we have red flags because we met for relative and we have only 6 months together, She is 38 years old and I am 34 but really really , I know this sound like something crazy, but we are in love each other and We only want to be together for all our life. I think we have others good points maybe can help us in this process, for example she speak english and we always talked in english, she does not have fluency english but is fine, she has a good job in her country really , she has tourist visa and she has visited some times the United States and never has had problems.
Do you think We will have problems with this situation?
Thank you

I am not trying to discourage you but I will advise you have with you good evidence to show your relationship is real. Your case may be different but the circumstance in which you met each other may raise doubts and more scrutiny, if you don't have much evidence to back it up.  So make sure you gather as much evidence as possible. Good luck.

There is nothing wrong with meeting through mutual friend or a relative and you don't have red flags, but sometimes the CO may think it was arranged, mostly if the circumstances you met is not well explained and proven with evidence. I have witnessed and read it on vj, I hope people with similar experience can respond and guide you, most especially from your country.

Not to be the skunk at the party but it can look to immigration as if you are just trying to help family immigrate.

I have read cases where visas were refused because there is a mutual family member or close friend. It is not always looked at as a good thing.

I don't know what embassy you will be dealing with but be sure to do some frontloading and have plenty of relationship evidence.

Not necessarily true. There have been VJer who were refused for this exact reason.

There was a couple from kyrgyzstan (if I remember right) who's parents were long time family friends. They were denied and had a very difficult time obtaining a visa. I believe they had to reapply.

That's sad.  To me, it would show that each other's families were aware of the fiance and relationship (ie. that it wasn't a secret marriage to just get a green card).  How did their reapplication go?

As @LionessDeon mentioned, the only real potential red flag seems to be mutual relative item, the others such as age, language, etc, don't appear to be red flags.  As others have suggested, make sure you provide as much evidence to show how this is a real relationship and not just some sort of process to bring a relative here.  For K1s, meetings in person seem to have more impact, so make sure you fully document your physical meetings with each other well.

Good Luck!

Everything looks to be good as long as you have evidence of a bonafide relationship. My wife is pretty fluent in English as well but accents still throw her off sometimes, but she was good during the interview. Just make sure you have evidence as I said previously and you will be good.
