That's sad.  To me, it would show that each other's families were aware of the fiance and relationship (ie. that it wasn't a secret marriage to just get a green card).  How did their reapplication go?

They were approved the second time around. They focused on more relationship evidences.

The relative is my sister in law and her cousin , She is citizen and live at USA since she was 10 years old ( our relative)

The embassy may scrutinize you both more because they think you all are trying to gain immigration benefit by a relative hookup.
Overall I think you will be fine. Returning from visits with a tourist visa is also good proof that you are doing it the right way.
Use frequent visits and other relationship proof and front load the petition.

Everything looks to be good as long as you have evidence of a bonafide relationship. My wife is pretty fluent in English as well but accents still throw her off sometimes, but she was good during the interview. Just make sure you have evidence as I said previously and you will be good.

when someone ask questions, we have to try to understand their situation first before responding. In that way, they will know how best to tackle and overcome  their worries.   Many have spoken well.  Sure OP can not do otherwise since petition is already submitted and now waiting for NOA2 but can still help situation not to deteriorate during interview, if the question about how they met is raised. OP has to follow advice that will best help, coupled with the fact that God is with OP and fiance. Stay focused and do your best. Remove fear and be careful with the way you will answer the question - "Explain in detail how you met your fiance". Afterwards,  be ready with questions that follows.  That is if asked.

Don't be worried. Prepare and be confident, that will show through. Believe in your relationship and appreciate how it all began.
Confidence shows.

Immigration made all of us worried at one point or another, it's normal. Immigration is stressful. My husband and I had many red flags and we never had any problems at any point during our journey. Just be as prepared as you can possibly be and be honest. Good luck!

Not to be the skunk at the party

I know this isn't a funny subject for the OP but that made me laugh!

OP you have had lots of good advice, just concentrate on showing the natural progression of your relationship from friends to life partners, with plenty of genuine evidence you will be ok.

Good luck on your journey :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Lol  My boss says that all the time when he has bad news.   Everyone was saying it would be fine and dandy.  I didn't want to be negative but I've read alot of posts here.  I knew this backfired for some.  Just wanted the OP to be fully prepared.

People generally have issues when they are blood relatives (1st, 2nd, 3rd cousins) or related closely via marriage (married a sibling's spouse's sibling).  The 1st cousin marriage causes majority of the issues and the rest can be overcome with lots of relationship evidence.

Honestly as long as you have tons of evidence you will be fine. I met my love through my Aunt and my fiance is my cousin.  I mentioned that in my initial application. He went to his interview last week and they never mentioned anything about us being related. We have a newborn baby together and i traveled 6 times in 1 year to see him so thats enough proof.

How people describe their family relations in other countries varies as well.  I assume you are not the us citizen or that english is not your first language?
