CR1 interview worries

Hello Everyone

My interview for CR1 is coming soon and I am so extremely nervous.... Could someone here give me a honest opinion or recommendations about my case with my husby?

- we have met online 2016 and since we first met, we started to date. I moved to him, and when i had to travel back to my country bc of Esta expiration date, he always been travelling with me. We did not spend almost any time apart from the day we met. I met his family, and he met mine.

- 2017 year after we met, we engaged and when I was traveling back to US from EU visit, I was interviewed at the airport. The interview didnt go well. they took away my ESTA. Summary is, they told me I am taking advantage of Esta by coming back and forward all the time (year) and i should have proper fiance visa. they also suspected I worked there. they took my phone and seen in emails I visited some nanny websites but I never met anyone. I explained I was bored and I was just looking. Which is true. But I lied about how we met. At that time, I thought if I say we met online and which website, it could be so suspicious so I made up something... even more suspicious... that i met him through friend + not so smart story.

- after Esta denied, there were weddings (unofficial) and now CR1 process.

Evidence we do have:

- we were living together 1 year in the US, i know his friends and family, we have photos, we travelled a lot so we have flight tickets, my credit card is on his address, we can prove calls and texts (i was wondering how to print all the texts or face time btw???)... also we are open to plan family, once this process is done, hopefully .

Evidence we will have soon:

we are preparing the joint account, I am on his car insurence, or i was... Our friends will write letters, that they know me/him/us..

What I worried about:

1. big age gap (any ill grandpa, but still..)

2. how we met: when I lied how we met at the interview on the airport, I am afraid it will affect very much the CR1 interview... I wouldt mind to say we met online, but the website we met might be suspicious. Could I say i dont remember the website anymore? And if so... What if they ask why I said before something else?

3. we married immediately after esta was denied (no photos, bc official weddings by next year, we are planning now)-  i assume its common..but how to explain it so they believe our marriage is bonafide?

4. health exam: i am scared someone i dont know will look on my naked body. What is really done over there? lol

5. we dont have this evidence: We dont own property together, I am not on his deed, he sometimes supported me financially but there is not prove under his name.

Some suggestions or opinion about my worries regarding CR1 interview?Red flags I should be concerned? Do I need any other evidence that I didnt mentioned?

If (hopefully not) CR1 is denied, could I be a student visa approved even i would have hubby in the US and without CR1 visa?

what way did you print/save all the text messages or face time calls/videos? Just print screens or some other way?

Thanks you so muuuuch!

1.  Don't worry about the age gap.....It is what it is....

2.  This time, tell the truth!!!  Misrepresentation can have very, very serious consequences. ALWAYS tell the truth to immigration authorities....period!!

3.  You should gather whatever evidence you have that you are a married couple....cards, letters, statements from friends, family, anything with both names and a common address, pictures together  (beginning as early as possible...and now).

4. Don't worry about this....period......

5. You don't have to have joint property, but it good evidence.  Is there ANYTHING which shows you both lived in the same address??

Relax and tell the truth.....

You should never lie about how you met, the website in question is pretty irrelevant, they're not going to be able to know the site, although I can see they possibly ask about it, but i doubt you'll have to prove you met on that specific site, it could be any site.

The problem is you don't know what they enter into notes, and if you change your answer then that could be suspicious.

But the best thing now is just to tell how you met truthfully, you don't necessarily need to go into details about the site, which I'm guessing is maybe an immigration site.

Now you've got me curious :D

2.  My wife and I met online, too.  Just tell the truth.  The immigration officials have heard a lot of stories.....unless you are a scammer, don't worry.

4.  My wife had her CR-1 medical exam.  They took a little blood, performed a chest X-ray, asked some questions, and administered 2 vaccinations. She did not have to undress for the exam.

5.  Gather everything you can showing a co-mingled relationship.

Good Luck.

hahaha. Not immigration site. Just kind of dating site that I am not proud of. But what to say if he ask what was the website? :D

haha, hey just because others don't talk about it, doesn't mean they haven't been there.

Well its possible they ask, and I don't really have a good answer for that.

Just remember not to volunteer information if they don't ask for it.

Well, I suppose you could always just say "an online dating website for people who share a similar lifestyle" and leave it at that.  Chances are, they are not going to ask you the specific name and then Google it infront of you.  Lots of people meet their spouse online these days.

1. Depends on which country you're interviewing in and the cultural norm in that country.

2. You should never lie to US immigration. Your answer to CBP's question may have been saved to your "profile".

3. I doubt you'll get a question about this.

4. It's not "someone", it's a doctor. As far as I remember, I had to undress on top for the x-ray.

5. When you're doing the cr-1, you're not expected to have joint leases, bank accounts etc. Just focus on time spent together and communication between you.

Sidenote; you said you lived together for a year in the US. Unless you were living in the US legally, I wouldn't use it as bona fida evidence.

I so agree on Sidenote here. You are opening a can of worms.

Age difference is not a problem. I (younger me) and my wife have 20 years difference but we made it after a lot of fight. Age is just a number for us and we are super happy. Right now my pretty lady is enjoying her roses and reading. I knew to see this sight, to be able to wake up by her side and to be there with her, I would have given up anything and would have put on with any fights for her. She means everything to be. And we not only believed in our love but also knew we were made for each other.

If you are really married and love each other, you will make it. Sometimes it takes time thou.

Dont lie, be prepared by interrogation by Visa officer, keep your calm, collect evidence to show your love to each other, maintain eye contact while u answer and top of it dont be nervous.

I know its easier said than done but we all went through this or aare going through.

Good luck

Very true you can't really have anything that is joint anything because in the USA they require the person to be in the USA to usually sign any documents to make a joint account with anything and they would also need a social security for most things such as bank, taxes etc

Just tell the truth no matter what. If you have nothing to hide, don't worry about it. I went into the interview with concerns about how our situation might be perceived, but ultimately it was complete honesty that got us through the interview quickly.

And as far as the medical goes, you may not even have to undress at all. And even if you do, these people are doctors. There shouldn't be any poking or prodding going on, at least not in the way you may be thinking. They see people all the time and I'm sure they look forward to having it over with just as soon as you do.

We site does not sound VJ family friendly, probably best dealt with by PM.
