Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 22, 2017
Embassy Review : During the first interview, the interviewer was cold and didn't ask me many questions. They didn't even allow my wife to be in the window. Maybe because they wanted to test our relationship.. who knows what .. but yea first experience of the interview at Delhi consulate was horrible. We were all crying in sorrow and our family and friends to were too sad.

We didn't give up as we are made for each other and no age difference, culture, time zone or any other difference would not matter to us. We are and we were positive and fought back. Got our second chance and yesteyday (21st June) we were in Delhi consulate.

All night long at 20th June, I kept on popping out of bed to check papers and i was nervous. I even went to the bathroom at consulate twice to give myself a pep talk before the interview. I was that nervous because this visa means everything to us and our family. Our interviewer this time allowed my wife to be present at Window for an interview and she asked multiple questions to me and my wife. It was a good 20 min long interview and then she said "you guys have been waiting for a visa for long. You are approved"

Neither my wife nor I could take that happiness without a tear. We were teary eyes hugged each other in the consulate and were screaming on top of our voice "I am coming home". It was similar situation back in America because our friends and family were waiting for our update and once they heard the good news, they too had same emotions flowing.

Those who know our story, thank you guys for being there for us and sending your positive vibes and love. Those who don't know our story, Guys "True love prevails" Have faith in each other and hang in there.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
