Comments : It's been a long journey. After approx 6 months we finally got our NOA2. Now the tiring journey of NVC starts

We dont know when NVC received our case.We called every week and all we got is "nope we have not received your case" But on 1st April 2015, we were assigned the case no and IIN.

6th May NVC received our documents and 9th May NVC sent us an email with notification. I guess our scan date is 9th May 2015. Submission of Civil and AOS document was delayed because of India PCC.

Our case at NVC was completed on 14th July (got update on phone) but the confirmation letter came only on 21st July 2015.

It was horrible waiting time from NVC case complete to Interview date as NVC was not scheduling any CR1 all over the world. Called NVC twice a day and after long hours of hold at NVC every time same answer "we will inform you about your interview date soon"

One fine morning (3 AM IST) a VJ member saw someone update their status in facebook. I took chance and called 'coz we have nothing to loose.

24th August we got confirmation of Interview over phone. I was crying and laughing over phone infront of NVC agent.

On 4th Sept. Our Ceac status shows in transit. 8th Sept, CEAC status shows ready

Finally after all this battle we are approved.. and I am heading home to start my life with my wife. Super excited.

12th August greencard received at Mail.

Consulate Review: New Delhi, India

Event Description
Review Date : June 22, 2017
Embassy Review : During the first interview, the interviewer was cold and didn't ask me many questions. They didn't even allow my wife to be in the window. Maybe because they wanted to test our relationship.. who knows what .. but yea first experience of the interview at Delhi consulate was horrible. We were all crying in sorrow and our family and friends to were too sad.

We didn't give up as we are made for each other and no age difference, culture, time zone or any other difference would not matter to us. We are and we were positive and fought back. Got our second chance and yesteyday (21st June) we were in Delhi consulate.

All night long at 20th June, I kept on popping out of bed to check papers and i was nervous. I even went to the bathroom at consulate twice to give myself a pep talk before the interview. I was that nervous because this visa means everything to us and our family. Our interviewer this time allowed my wife to be present at Window for an interview and she asked multiple questions to me and my wife. It was a good 20 min long interview and then she said "you guys have been waiting for a visa for long. You are approved"

Neither my wife nor I could take that happiness without a tear. We were teary eyes hugged each other in the consulate and were screaming on top of our voice "I am coming home". It was similar situation back in America because our friends and family were waiting for our update and once they heard the good news, they too had same emotions flowing.

Those who know our story, thank you guys for being there for us and sending your positive vibes and love. Those who don't know our story, Guys "True love prevails" Have faith in each other and hang in there.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
