I'd be happy to support new fees as long as they come with service guarantees. For example, if your I-130 is not processed within 5 months without an RFE, the fee is fully refunded. That might motivate them.

You have to add the biometrics fee of 85USD I think

Total AOS fee increased by over 10%. Oh well, what can you do.

Old fee for AOS (I-485) is $985 + $85 = $1,070

New fee $1,140 + $85 = $1,225

You don't have to add in any other fees if you file for EAD and AP along with the I-485.

going to be interesting to see if you mail before the switch but receive it after if they make you pay the higher fee. that being said if you are close to the deadline it sure does pay to overnight it there.

I'm hoping this increase will enable them to train more people. So that those that are waiting over a year for any paperwork could be reduced. If not than this is just bs.

I find this sort of nice though

"USCIS will offer a reduced filing fee of $320 for naturalization applicants with family incomes greater than 150 percent and not more than 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For 2016, this means, for example, that a household of four with an income between $36,000 and $48,600 per year could pay the reduced fee. Those eligible may apply for this option using the new Form I-942, Request for Reduced Fee."

It seems they are trying to help those who are more likely to have trouble paying the fees.

the first time i read this,

i will apply for citizenship soon , how much the fee? is the fee amount is not the same for everybody? do i have to calculate how much i make to pay the fee, or what?
