So she works but want to keep that money to herself while you work and pay the bills and food?

Yes, that is correct. We made a deal that 1/2 of what she makes goes for our expenses and the other 1/2 is for her to do whatever she wants. I gave her a phone which stopped working. I took her to the store and told her I would buy her a cheap phone or she could have an iPhone if she wanted to pay for it. She wanted the iPhone and I payed for it upfront with the promise that she would pay me back later. Now she wants to complain that she doesn't have a regular amount of hours and is not making enough money and shouldn't have to pay anything toward our expenses after we made an agreement.

Wow. Has she seen your whole budget like what come in and how much there needs to be paid for?? Seems to me she doesn't have a clue of how much things cost...

Well, we all know that in USA, money grows on trees in your yards

OP should just pull the I-864 and move on.

Remember to protect yourself from any false abuse charge.

yea, looks like. That is unfortunately the view of lots of immigrant. My advice would be create a spreadsheet with all the expenses and household income listed. Make it an open book. When she sees how much the phone bill or electric bill is, she will reason.

My wife has her ead/AP combo card. We are in the process of AOS. Can I pull the affidavit of support and she goes home and we end the marriage?

Very unfortunate when people counter questions the OP about the reason about the question. OP, fellows have given you the right advice. you can withdraw your sponsorship but can't control the fact if she will get to stay or leave. off course the onus of responsibility will than be completely on her.

OP,

Is she ok with going back to the Philippines?

You mentioned she is saving money for a ticket home. Is that permanently or for a visit?

I agree with Mimo, what's goin on in your marriage should just be between you and your your wife. She isn't here to defend herself and tell her own side of the story, people are just hearing yours.

You know the answers to your questions. Do what you think is right.

You don't need to answers questions from others or defend yourself. The holier than though posters were not asked for opinions. . You came to ask your own question and what goes on in your marriage and personal life is just that, personal. Yes, you can pull the affidavit of support and what happens after that is up to her. She can either go home, or stay forever illegally in the US as she can never adjust status through anyone else.

Good luck!

This.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

She wants to go back to the Philippines permanently. I offered to pay for her ticket now, whereas before I wouldn't. She is realizing America is not easy and there aren't any handouts. The problem is that with the k1 visa and everything that goes with it, it is a one shot deal. Once I pull the affidavit of support, there is no turning back. Edited by Lee&Ana

Sounds like you tried. Your legal reasoning is right on the money (your money, that is). Unfortunately, many foreigners don't understand the American financial culture and practice of sharing expenses. Cut your losses with her and don't give up on love - it's out there. Good luck!!!

If you were to reconcile later and she'd change her mind about not wanting to live in the US, you could still file for a marriage visa (assuming you did not divorce).

I explained to my Filipina that just because this is USA, life isn't much easier. WE still must work hard for our money.

Also, when she tried to ignore me, I came over right by her and stared into her eyes asking what's wrong. When she got up trying to move away, I gently hugged her and didn't let her go until she stopped. Which was about five minutes till she started explaining to me what's wrong.
