They want  to hear it from a medical professional who knows you —when, what, meds,  treatment, is it ongoing or does he think you are fine now. A brief explanation. The most important thing is for your GP to say you “are not a threat to yourself or other”. The visa medical guy needs to be assured of those words.

I strongly advise you to still attend the interview. You never know how long it’ll take to reschedule nowadays. She can attend the interview without these documents and she’ll be given a paper by the CO saying she needs to hand in the missing documents when she gets hold of them.

If you're so inclined to check out our timeline Liam and I also had our case sent to the London Embassy right before the lockdown in March of 2020. It sat there, languishing at the embassy with no word from anywhere. I made lots of calls to the embassy and NVC and a scheduling line in Virginia for an appointment; all to no avail. As my review background on my timeline states I have a medical condition and got the expedite. However the CO did not approve us for the medical exception, she said we qualified under the National interest exception (we showed no additional proof for an NIE, the only information we had was a letter from my neurologist which did not impress the CO at all.) He got a 221g for the medical and police cert which was waaaaaay expired. After some rush orders and quick taxi bookings we got him sorted. The CO did say that IF he was approved he would only have 30 days to travel. He was approved on March 15th, booked a flight for April 6th and the rescheduled because the Easter holiday messed up the covid test results which we paid for not one but two overnight couriers and on April 9th I picked him up at ORD Chicago. I am happy to report we were married on May 21st, 2021 after almost exactly one year of the Covid shutdown. I look at him everyday and tell him I'm so happy he is home and how lucky we are. I would be more than happy to answer any questions or give any advice or recommendations about our journey thus far and the London Experience. My heart breaks for everyone who is still waiting for just a drop of information, chin up tho. Cheers

I sent pictures of myself and my husband over 5 years with dates and captions as to where we were. There were probably a total of 10-12 pictures and some included family and friends.

Well done.  We did similar things on our many (8) multiple-week/month visits.  He did some home renovations, took the dog to the vet, cooked and cleaned while I was at work, and even looked after me following a surgery.  Yes, it was expensive and time consuming, but it was worth it with the stakes being so high.

The answer is YES. You do not need an earnings statement. You figure out how much gross income you made between Jan 1 and leaving the UK. Then you convert it to US Dollars at the exchange rate for that time period. Then report it to Turbo and go through Form 2555. If it says you are not eligible for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, then you have answered something wrong.

For those saying they won’t make the kid wait outside, you’d be surprised. Our local USCIS office (Milwaukee) was incredibly strict about their “no one other than specifically invited persons” policy even prior to Covid. I drove with my husband for ROC biometrics in July of 2019 and the block the building was on had a nice handful of people (including me) waiting around for their family members to finish their interviews/other business, and YES there were even some children that appeared to be alone outside. No toddlers, but some that looked as young as 7/8. They did have a guard who seemed to be sort of watching the younger kids, but still, definitely not a situation I would want to be in.

You’ve made it very clear that you feel we don’t know your situation enough to provide our input and advice (which is weird since you’re literally on a forum asking for it) but I would just caution not to completely shut down the possibility of there being an issues with bringing your child with you.

    A note for the future—
As a K1, if you have a visa medical within one year of filing your adjustment of status (after marriage) AND you have every shot required for AOS recorded on your London medical report, you will not have to see a civil surgeon in the US for another medical. Get those shots sorted and done before you ever walk in to that visa medical. They will tell you you don’t need them for your visa or you can just go to your GP and get after the medical. DO NOT fall for that nonsense. Yes you can get your visa, But shots must be recorded and signed off on your visa medical form or you will have the hassle and expense of a civil surgeon and form I-693 in the US. Get the shots and skip that additional medical hassle.

I'd also like to clarify that I didn't need an SSN to get added to my husband's checking account. He simply explained to his relationship manager that we are waiting for the SSN and will provide it as soon as available. No trouble at all.

Weird that you assume that going the Senator / Congressman route will fail without even trying it. Unless the whole point of this post is only to rant, not receive any advice from people who were or are in the same boat as you are.
I reached out to my Congressman when my original green card was taking too long and received an interview notice within a month (my case was outside of normal processing times at that point).

You've gotten a few things wrong.

Since your wife has file an N-400, naturalization and the ROC will be adjudicated together.

Your wife still needs the ROC.  No refund because she still needs to do it.

If she needs to leave the US, her conditional green card and valid extension letter would be enough to get her back into the US.  CBP would not deny her entry.  If her extension letter is expired, then she needs to make an Infopass appointment.

AP does not apply to a green card holder.

You don't need a Writ of Mandamus.  That's going overboard.

The process is imperfect and it is taking too long to adjudicate your wife's ROC.  You should reach out to your Congressman.

What you want is your 'summary care record' - that's the NHS-wide terminology. You might be best served giving a copy of these pages to your GP/surgery receptionist for reference, but basically it's a short-form record of your recent treatments, any long term conditions, etc. It's not your full medical records.

    https://digital.nhs.uk/services/summary-care-records-scr

    https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/about-the-nhs/how-to-access-your-health-records/

I was able to just get a printout of my SCR from the receptionists at my GP surgery once they understood that a printout of that record was all I needed. Mine was very short, (a lot of the headings had nothing under them) it just had a note about a prescription i had for a couple of months and no longer on there and basically nothing else but my name and DOB if I recall correctly.

Note that if you have any chronic conditions you'll likely need a letter from your GP about it, but also if you've ever had any mental health issues you should get a letter stating that you are not a danger to yourself or others - even if it was a long time ago and you are well now, they just need that bit of documentation.

edit: some districts & surgeries let you access this online (through a web portal you have to get a code from them to register at) so you can print it yourself, while others do not. It's very regional, but that may be worth asking about.

Liam&Lizz reacted to Villanelle in K1 Second interview- No decision (merged)
This is a very odd question with no context. If you are aware of FPU being involved in your case you need an attny. They dont just randomly get involved nor do they waste their time doing random interviews/interrogations. When they do open an investigation they will gather information in various ways - interviews, reviewing records, home visits, etc and then a decision will be made on how to proceed. So yes, if the interrogation was the final piece maybe afterwards it moves forward as a denial- or maybe the interrogation led to more questions so the investigation will continue until they obtain all the info they need to move forward or let it go. There is no official step by step guide to conducting an investigation but again if you know you are the subject of an investigation you need an attny.

Also just FYI but the FDNS officers (fraud detection and national security) are technically not the ones who make a decision on approving or denying. They are considered an administrative role. They conduct the investigation but they do not make official decisions. Once they complete the investigation they then present it to the ISO (adjudication immigration services officer) who then makes the actual adjudicative decision. In immigration decisions can only be made by ISOs and are then appealed through the courts if needed.

    greetings and salutations,

My fiance and I are also in an online relationsip and have been for 5.5 years. I jad travelled to see him first ten another 3 years went by (so that would have put us outside of the two year meeting requirement). He then came to visit me and we filed our I-129F on the day after he went home. In our evidence for the 129F I made sure to include twitter TOS (thats how we met) for IMBRA to show it was not a paid service or arrainged through a marriage broker, loads of pictures from my visit (even though those technically were not valid for establishing the two year meeting requirement (they were used to show longevity IMO), customs forms of sent gifts via the postal service, screen shots of whatsapp convos where i even redacted some pet names and such, skype log screens to show the duration of the calls and days (we skyped all the time), a letter from my sister, who is also a military veteran and now small business owner as to the validity of our relationship (she met him on both our trips),  a brief timeline of how we met. I used visastutor, im not shilling for them but it was so very helpful for the layout out of information. All the information I provided was secondary and on it's own won't amount to a hill of beans without meeting the two year meeting, both parties free to marry, and financially able to provide for him. Im happy report they accepted our petiton and while covid knocked us down for a year his is flying to the US on April 6th. Inbox me if you have more questions I would be happy to help anyway I can. Good Luck to you!!

Liam&Lizz reacted to ataz in End of Journey - My Interview Experience @ Phoenix ASC
I had my naturalization interview scheduled for 8:00 AM today at Phoenix ASC. Due to Covid-19 had to take a few extra measures - 1. Wear a mask 2. Enter the building at the most 15 mins before scheduled time 3. No company 4. Answer questions related to health

Security check was quick. Had to show the notice at reception and the clerk gave me the form back with token number stapled to it.

The IO called me just after 8. The interview couldn't be smoother. It was over in less than 10 minutes (not exaggerating).

She took my green card and asked if I know what I was there for. Then she told me that this interview is voluntary and I may leave any time. She then started with the Civic questions. 6 Civic questions were done within first minute. She asked me to read and write a simple sentence on the iPad. Then she went over few family questions, I had to just answer Yes or confirm it is correct. Then she asked about questions related to previous arrests, any bad groups membership, etc. Answer was NO to all of them. Finally she asked about allegiance related questions. I mentioned to her that my wife has used a different name at least once (on our son's birth certificate) and I forgot to mention it in one of the questions but she told me not to worry about it.

She had me sign a couple of forms on iPad:
    1. With my personal information - all was Ok
    2. Acceptance to take the oath

Then she congratulated me and printed a form, told me that she can get me in for the oath ceremony at 9 AM. Escorted me to the waiting area. I texted my wife at 8:14, It's Done

Few minutes before 9, another office called about 15 names and took us to the ceremony room. They had us fill I-445. Then handed packets with passport form, SSA update form, voter registration form, etc. Completed I-445 and green cards were collected. Then an officer quickly explained the package content and answered few questions.

Another officer came in and explained the oath process and gave opportunity to ask any questions or if anyone had a change of mind. Then he asked us to rise, he said the Oath and we had to say "I do" (another Covid impact). We were called in random order to collect our naturalization certificate and if everything was ok, we were told that we are good to go! The entire oath ceremony took about 30-40 minutes.

Thank you USCIS, it was a great experience.

I did not update the timeline but I had applied N-400 under 5 year rule on Feb 26. Biometrics was done on Mar 16. Interview notice was received on 11/5 and interview/oath was done on 12/10.
