interview went really well, i took every single document to proof of whatsapp chats and wedding album. 
 
my interview lasted for hardly 5 mins. Was only asked abt the marriage date, photo album, birth and marriage certificate and two photographs of me !  I wont lie i was nervous but i would share a tip to hear the question first carefully and if you feel like you didn’t understand it dont be afraid to ask again. Its better to ask again then to answer abt something else. Dont be in a rush as they are not. Be as relax as possible.

I can definitely recommend the Vegas wedding... LOL, I'm the one doing them! Message me if you want and I will send you my contact information. I can get you married with certified marriage certificate in hand in less than a hour. As others have stated I don't charge for members of VJ. Marriage license is about 80 dollars total, and copies of your certified marriage certificate are 20 dollars each roughly ( Since they aren't taking cash for anything right now, they have a 2.5% credit card fee, but even then it only adds a few dollars to the totals above).  Should be able to get married with 2 copies of the marriage certificate for under 130 total. Other than the cost of fuel to get here. I just did a ceremony for a couple a few weeks ago, and civil marriages in California were at least 6 weeks out to get scheduled, and then a 6-8 week wait for the marriage certificate. Way too much time if you're here on a K1. This was in southern California, San Diego and Los Angeles counties. Not sure how things are going in northern California, but it probably isn't too much faster, and by the time you drive up there (if your in southern California) Vegas is closer. I would suggest finding a day job and then putting children in daycare.  Otherwise, look for work at home jobs.  He is stressed out due to working all day and then as a husband dealing with very young children alone.  Men are not smart when dealing with children.  We are Mama Bears.  It is not easy during COVID times.

She shouldn’t have to find a new job just because her husband can’t handle the responsibility of working and also caring for his children. It sounds like they had an agreement about work schedules and he is the one not following through. She is trying to find acceptable work arounds for needing to be picked up (like uber). Yes times are stressful for everyone because of Covid, but multiple, extended instances of verbal abuse and profanity towards your partner are not excused by that. 
 
There are plenty of men who are wonderful fathers and that are more than capable of looking after their children. Please don’t act like that’s abnormal.
 
OP, I would recommend counseling for your relationship as well as his anger issues ONLY IF you would like to work on the marriage and still feel safe. You mention being financially reliant on him, but please make sure that you prioritize your safety and well-being as well.
 
Many large and even median-size cities over worker pools if you need transportation to and from employment. Are there any bus lines around where you are? I know the idea of public transportation doesn’t sound like the best idea in the middle of a pandemic, but busing services in my area have really stepped up and put policies in place to help keep riders safe.

Being "stressed out" is not an excuse to verbally abuse your spouse in front of your children. And a mature man knows how to respectfully handle his children and to ask if he's unsure of something. I'm a woman and have practically no maternal instincts whereas my husband has changed his siblings' diapers when he was a teen and they were infants. He knows more about child-rearing than I do. This isn't about gender. It's about just common decency and not being abusive.

You waited approx 10 months from time of file to time of marriage according to your timeline.  Many of us today are on over a year after file with no idea of when the heck we will ever have a hope of marrying our fiance. 
 
Its these condescending, unsympathetic and "devils advocate" attitudes from people who have been well out of the processes OPs are going though that give VJ forums a bad name.  I've seen and received reply posts from you embodying this exact sentiment. 
 

What exactly is the purpose of this statement? The State Dept Guidance docs are out there, the news articles and summaries are out there, why do I need to cite anything? You can explore the transparency of the State Dept on your own. As if the experiences in these forums didn't make that clear enough.
 
I can't imagine being in the AOS stage of our journey and still jumping on the K1 forums to pick apart initiatives applicants are promoting to get their cases acted upon during a pandemic with an administration that has attacked immigration like none before. There is literally no one who has gone through this process before during these circumstances. I can't imagine offering anything but support to people in this position while being thankful I am actually with my spouse. 

Life is full of choices and consequences.......most of us have had to deal with a lot of things....like separation from spouses for a year or more.....

I have mentioned this before in another thread a week ago of the same topic about making the K1 mission critical. The reason why the K1 gets put on hold for the time being is for one, as @Lucky Cat mentioned, by law a fiance is NOT an immediate relative. And for two, anything can happen before the beneficiary gets married and AOS to make them a permanent resident. Meaning a K1 recipient could end up not getting married at all. Or the get married but abandon their status and return home. Or the AOS is denied for the K1 reciepient. So the risk of issuing the K1 is that much higher than those of other family based visas. This is simply an explaination on how the government views things. It is so people can have a better understanding of some decision making processes. It also helps people come up with solutions that can be bargain with. For example, if you understand that K1 applicants are high risk, maybe a person can petition that the K1 category be processed at limited capacity ( for those who were near the end of the process) until things are back to normal/
 
But writing and calling political figures to express your concerns and desires for change are a right and people are free to do so. There may be a movement that will put the K1 back on track. All information is helpful and useful. 

This is not a time for a 3rd candidate. Time for that will come. Right now, voting for a 3rd party candidate is basically voting for DJT. Unless you want to vote against immigrant interests. Anyways- let's not digress.

The only thing that's worrisome is neither candidates have good platforms on immigration. Trump is being to restrictive and I know Biden won't be restrictive enough (concerning illegals and completely open border). Wish there were a third candidate😑

My husband's first interview was on his birthday in 2017 and did not end as we hoped.    His third and final trip to Islamabad embassy happened to be on my birthday.  After spending 4 hours at the embassy he walked out with Visa in hand (yes this actually happened)!!!

I just want to say I'm super proud of everyone in the thread for the information gathering, sharing and updates. I have sent my letters and we are hoping for the best. Dark times across the globe for many different aspects of life but helping each other and ourselves gives a glimmer of hope for being reunited as soon as we can.  Cheers all!

@Claire1212 No sense in kicking yourself while you're down.....You can't change the past so it's best to be optimistic for the future! You'll be together one day. It may not be as quickly as you want, but it will happen. That's what I tell myself everyday while waiting on our K1 too. ❤️

our july 9th interview for k1 was just cancelled as of an hour ago. no new appointments  in london. beyond sad.

We got a June 8th appointment in May - Cancelled.  Rescheduled for August 5th, then for the 3rd - Cancelled.  Rescheduled for July 20th - Cancelled. On the same session of the July 20 cancel we saw July 9th open up. We took it. There were only two other dates at the time in July. This was two days ago. Today there are multiple dates in July and August. This has been an absolute rollercoaster that we simply can't get off yet. We keep each other going by reminding each other of the pay off - living a quite life together in the country. It will happen, on whose timeline though we must roll with the punches.  So to answer your question, No this is not the first time they have opened (and closed) dates. Strap in!  Cheers and GL
