jd_malachi reacted to RandyW in China to ease visa, entry policies
This may be the only actual English-language announcement that they've posted so far. I haven't seen it on the consulate web sites, except in Chinese -

China to ease visa, entry policies
Foreigners with valid visas issued before March 28, 2020 will be allowed to enter China, as the country is adjusting its visa and entry policies to facilitate travel across the border.
Visa-free policies will be resumed for entry to the southern island province of Hainan and cruise tour groups at Shanghai ports, said the National Immigration Administration.
Visa-free entry to the southern province of Guangdong will be restored for tour groups of foreigners from Hong Kong and Macao, and a similar mechanism will be reinstated for tour groups from ASEAN countries to enter Guilin in the southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The policies will come into force on Wednesday, according to immigration authorities.

Study Finds 97% Of Statements Following 'Experts Say' Are Completely Made Up

U.S.—In a groundbreaking study of over 328 million statements given by experts over the last 10 years, researchers discovered that 97% of those statements were totally made up.

"According to our research, whenever you see the phrase 'experts say' followed by some truth claim, you can be 97% sure that statement was literally pulled out of thin air, or maybe sometimes out of someone's butt," said Dr. Smagbord Luugbjörn, an expert. "As it turns out, there's really no agreed-upon criteria for what qualifies someone to be an expert. As a result, we have a ton of self-proclaimed 'experts' who don't know what they're talking about. That's my expert opinion, anyway. But I'm a real expert though."
The study found that 43% of experts are actually a "few fries short of a Happy Meal", while the other 54% qualify as "a few beers short of a six-pack."
"None of them are the sharpest knives in the drawer," said Luugbjörn.

jd_malachi got a reaction from L&J@T in Do we need to submit Form I-693?
We just had this issue when preparing my wife' AOS packet and the local civil surgeon was very helpful.  You are good on the varicella and MMR vaccine for now, just need to show that the cycle was completed at the interview.  The Tdap is the issue, she was given a waiver for the K1 visa because the vaccine was not available. (My wife had the same issue with both the Tdap and MMR.)  But she is still expected to get the Tdap vaccine for her green card, the waiver for the K1 visa does not carry over to the green card application.  The civil surgeon let us go the local government health department to get the vaccines, bring the proof of vaccination and an I-693 with parts 1-5 completed to his office, he reviewed the vaccination papers and filled out parts 7 and 10 on the I-693, and sealed it in an envelop to send with her packet just like when she had her full medical exam.

jd_malachi got a reaction from Chancy in Affidavit of Support no longer required for K-1 visa?
You are confusing what you submit to USCIS when you file the i-129f and what you need to take to the interview. My fiance was interviewed in March in Guangzhou and I assure you the I-134 was required.  All K1 visas are processed by the consulates Immigration Unit because it is implied they will adjust status after you get married, despite being a non-immigrant visa it is treated as an immigrant visa.

As for the expiration date, the USCIS website says you can continue using the 2-13-19 edition until a new one is published despite the expiration date.  I used the expired edition for my fiance's interview without any issues.

We paid the fee by going to schedule appointment > immigrant visa. You can then pay the fee without actually scheduling an appointment.

To get the confirmation page we went to schedule appointment > Immigrant Visa-Scheduled by NVC-Registration Only. For some reason it doesn't ask you to pay the fee when you choose this option.
