It's been almost a year since I got any correspondence from USCIS. But today, I received my Green Card in the mail. My last notice from them was November 2021, which was an extension of 24 months. Didn't have an interview or anything else. Will be applying citizenship when I can. That will be a whole other journey!

We've been waiting on my wife's I-751 interview to be scheduled since February 9, 2022. I checked the status on a lark this morning and saw this!

We never actually got scheduled for the interview, so maybe they are starting to waive it for some CR-1 -> IR-1 cases. I'll update again when it arrives!

I just happened to check my husband's case status earlier this week and saw it was approved! We're still waiting on the mail to arrive but the case status page shows approved. EAC Filers, there is hope! He filed the ROC back in April 2021 (as you can probably guess from the title of this thread), approved late October 2022. No interview and the biometrics from his AOS were re-used. Fingers crossed for anyone else still waiting!

    Hi all!

I sent my package on April 15, received April 17, 2021.
Received a text message about a week ago that they accepted my case at the Vermont Service Center and received NOA1 in the mail on May 17.
Today I received a waiver for biometrics which is nice, but also sucks because I hated my pic they took for AOS biometrics 😅

    Good luck everyone!

I made a spare copy of my husband's AOS packet and brought it with me to the interview. I didn't need anything out of it but was glad I had it for peace of mind.

If you haven't had a medical exam done, you'll want to have that done and bring it to your interview. You can also bring additional evidence that you may have not submitted originally.

My husband and I were asked a variety of questions to verify that we did actually know each other/live together. Stuff like what color the washing machine is, what we had for dinner the night prior, who does what chores, health problems and medicine each of us are on, what's our favorite restaurant and what does the other person usually order. They also asked questions to verify the info in the application itself. Like our parents names and dates of birth, what date he entered the US, etc etc. It honestly isn't bad assuming you do actually know each other, it's just intimidating.

    Best of luck!

    Hello all,

I took the liberty of setting up a shared google spreadsheet for us April 2021 filers. I modeled it after previous months' spreadsheets. Please add your info so we can all take solace in knowing how the timelines are progressing; I have already entered my info. Thanks everyone!

617Haligonian reacted to dunebuggy in Rescheduling I-751 interview? Stuck overseas :(
So here's how it went... the theme of unnecessary drama continued....

Immigration at SFO - the CBP agent was nice but pretty skeptical of our story. She asked if we're planning on living here, we said yes and that we're trying to move back but it was delayed due to Covid-19... She asked a few more questions and don't think she totally bought it but she let us in anyway. I showed her our i-551 travel document but because it expired in 2019 she kept it, no worries I suppose.
USCIS ROC "Interview" (Portland, Oregon) - showed up a bit early, they told us to come back 15 mins before the appointment time. Once we came back, before going through security, there was a sheet of paper with several declarations we needed to make, including that we had not been outside the US within the last 10 days. When we declared that we had, they wouldn't let us pass security and told us our appointment would be automatically rescheduled. This was NOT what we wanted to hear, especially after a looooooong flight.    Then, about three hours later, I received an email that the new card was being produced! USCIS truly works in mysterious ways... we already had an interview before receiving the initial GC, so we were a bit disappointed we were called for another one. I suppose all's well that ends well, but you won't catch us celebrating until we have that little green card in our hot little hands! Thanks to everyone for your assistance and wishing others a less dramatic process

Since 2018, everyone who hasn't had an interview within the US for their first greencard automatically gets an interview for the ROC instead (a few exceptions to this "new" rule because of the pandemic, but quite rare). Since OP came on a spousal visa s/he wasn't interviewed in the US before, and therefore got an interview for ROC.

My husband's window opened at the end of March and we finally got our packet mailed off today! Should arrive in Arizona on the 15th 🤞. His AOS was super quick (something like 3 months from application to card in hand) but I am not as hopeful for this step 😂. Cheers y'all!

You can get a copy of your i-94 online here (you'll need it for the AOS packet as well) https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

Once you input your info, the i-94 should tell you your class of admission. I believe most visitors from Canada are given B2 visas (don't quote me on it).
