JISnJRS reacted to pushbrk in NVC goes by what year of income?
Probably, but Consular Officers consider the totality of circumstances including everything in the file, not just current income and not just the affidavit of support. It is ALWAYS a judgment call. Google "How do Consular Officers make the public charge decision?" Learn some of the big picture, instead of just cherry picking convenient questions. Or "How do Consular Officers evaluate affidavits of support?"

JISnJRS reacted to Pack88 in Annulments process in the Philippines
When my ladies annulment was processed - it was explained to us that the SOLGEN review in Manilla was a 60 period where the high court is given an opportunity to review the decision for irregularities and if they respond positively (agree with the decision) or do not respond within 60 days it is returned to the local court for final adjudication. In our case ours went in early July and after the mandatory review period of 60 days the local court finally issued the certificate of final nullity in mid September

JISnJRS got a reaction from Cyberfx1024 in Annulments process in the Philippines
It took 3 years to get the Annulment thru the local court district, from there it was sent to the Solgens office in Manila. The Solgen official signed off on it also..hooya hooya, BUT we were told it needs to go back the local court and after that to the Solgens office AGAIN!
We both have no clue why it needs to back to both offices after it was already signed off of.
Please help!

JISnJRS reacted to Hank_ in Anyone also waiting for documents until shutdown is lifted?
Transcripts don't cost $50, they are FREE
"The IRS does not charge a fee for transcripts, which are available for the current tax year as well as the past three tax years."
An "actual copy" is where the IRS charges the bucks.

JISnJRS got a reaction from Khushi Kaur in CR-1 Income requirements
I notice that for a family of 2 the requirements are set a $21,138, is there a certain a number of years they they calculate on the average? For right now Im $138 short, at what time is it needed to get a family member to "co sponsor" this process? Is this co sponsor needed on the I-130 application also?
Thanks.

JISnJRS reacted to John & Rose in CR-1 Income requirements
In my experience the CO's are pretty decent. They have the job to help prevent public charge. I've seen approvals where the couple barely makes the minimum but they are hard workers. With CR/IR the beneficiary can work right away. My wife and two step kids all had jobs here within a couple weeks. Each of them earns between $600 and $800 every two weeks. That really helps with the transition. They get to shop with their own money!

JISnJRS reacted to user555 in Rapidvisa experiences - worth it or not?
My friend is using them. I am not. He is like you. Gets overwhelmed easily. He needed them because he couldn't stare at the form for 15 minutes to figure out what USCIS wanted. He needed them to hold his hand through the process and tell him what the form said. If you want that, please pay them for it. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing. Different people require different things. Best of luck on your visa journey!

JISnJRS reacted to geowrian in I-130 Third Party Affidavit
Those are examples. In practice, they have very little to no real value (as noted, there is no way to verify their accuracy, nobody submits a negative one, and literally anybody can submit one).

Anybody can write an affidavit. They don't need to be notarized, but you can if you want.
As for their practicality...
Anybody can write one. I charge $20. (sarcasm)

JISnJRS reacted to Hank_ in Philippines NAIA 3 airport question
The airlines handles that, at least Delta does, they provide a wheelchair and a person to push it. NAIA and Narita have both been excellent with this.

JISnJRS reacted to Hank_ in Philippines NAIA 3 airport question
I do understand that.
I schedule the wheelchair when I book my airfare. If you already booked the airfare, call the airlines and request the wheelchair.
