  1. Same here lol. Usually I'll just mess around and crash into people with vehicles I find lol. I find myself buying her lots of vbucks lol.
  2. Wife and I just threw in our i-130 a month or so ago, so I figured I'd increase my presence on this forum a bit. Been lurking and making the odd post for the past year and a half. Me and my wife tend to play lots of games together. (Sometimes a little too much, because I'm now dealing with eyestrain while at work). We tend to play stuff like Minecraft or fortnite. Personally, I'm not much for multiplayer stuff, as there's a lot of small children who yell at you, but she makes it entertaining for me. On my own time, I like to play single player games. Right now, I'm playing Mass effect. Well, I'm playing the trilogy. Great space opera with really interesting writing and sci-fi concepts. Super cool that they were also made in Canada . Anyone else playing games to pass the time while they wait?
  3. I forgot to eat, so a large chunk from my block of cheese.
  4. This is a relatively old post and I'm just beginning the visa process this January, but... She shares my hobbies, trusts me and has a great sense of humor. Sometimes, she expresses worry over losing me, but I reassure her i'll never leave. I'm 5 years older and have more life experience than her, so I also have a good opportunity to help her grow as a person too. Before I met her, I felt a little directionless. I didn't have any truely long-term goals, aside from "Go to college, get a better job, etc". Ever since I met her, my knowledge of so many topics has expanded. In a sense, she has ignited my entire life and indirectly encouraged me to better myself. Also, she and I play lots of video games together. lol
  5. Thanks for making this post. I was worried about the age gap in my relationship.
  6. Following up on this, I have plans to request multiple notes from different staff members who work with me.
  7. Hey there, so me and her are getting married in Canada. I'm so excited. This is the first step. I was thinking of flying her out here to visit anyway, so no worries. I really gave what you said some thought and found a way to get her here with minimal hassle. (Thank God for the lifting covid restrictions). I will be flying to st Louis in September and bringing her back early October. I have money set aside to pay for her flights back as well.
  8. Gotcha, just weighing my options. I've been researching heavily and preparing, despite the fact that my submission is probably 6+ months away lol
  9. Adding onto my previous statement. They have a team of dietitians, physicians, nurses, etc. They all work together and have known about my journey getting better. They've been regularly updating everyone, and have been really happy. Back in october or november, I recall my physician at the program stating that I finally "Got my sh*t together". Literal quote. lmao. I attend regular outpatient meetings, but I kinda lost track of time and haven't been there since november. So far I've been good. With regards to eating, I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, and if you saw how much I was eating in the past few months, you'd know I'm fine lol. My issue was never even a cycle, either. I would describe it as a rough patch or slow start, where I was a bit unsure about what I wanted to do. Now, of course, I have a goal in mind, and I want to follow that through. I am currently 24 at the moment.
  10. I also don't plan to have this all done right this moment either. The earliest she'd be submitting the initial i-129 would be September. From my understanding, there's also a bit of a wait between that time frame and the medical exam as well.
  11. Lol yeah, me and her just spent time inside. I work remotely, so I'm used to being indoors, and she has a knee injury that renders her mobility limited. We often just play video games together when we're not out or do house work. In regards to getting married and the cr1 I'm just gonna ask you directly, as I find it a bit more straightforward. (I apologize for dumb questions) How would we get married if we are in different countries specifically, for the cr1? In relation to the k1 visa work element and staying busy, would there be anything legally preventing me from volunteering or doing community stuff?
  12. my girlfriend lives at home lol, so me and her would be home together lol. I am definintely interested in the cr1 though. Is there a definitive guide on how to get it? My girlfriend has a physical illness that impacts her mobility, and travel may be limited for her.
  13. I am worried, though, because I had a four voluntary admissions, and I spent time in a day treatment program to help deal with the illness. (Age 17 to 23). Would a signed doctor's note with my recovery with the medical history be enough?
  14. I regularly attend outpatient meetings, where they report my progress and document everything. They have a chart and everything for me. I regularly attend 1-1 meetings with a nurse practioner/therapist and a physician. They know me really well, and the last time I saw them, they were so insanely happy with how I had slowly gotten better and improved over the past year and a half. I will ask them to provide a note indicating my recovery.
