OmG! I can imaging ! J is coming to pick me up by 26 June and then we will travel the Europe little bit before heading to US soil
ps. ( this is the plan if I get approved on 20 June hahahah ) he bought flight ticket already
That sounds amazing! A little “pre-honeymoon” honeymoon. You must be anxiously counting down the days girl because I know I was! Lol And I’m sure you’ll be approved just fine but I do know the anxiety that comes with it. We were sure we’d be approved too but a part of us still worried as we decided my fiancé would turn in his resignation before our interview date. He needed to give 30 day notice and we didn’t want to wait that long after the interview for him to come home. I know it’s strongly discouraged and totally advised against but we took a chance and thankfully everything worked out fine. I’m sure it’ll work out fine for you too. He’ll be there in less than 2 weeks and it’ll be here before you know it! Almost there!

Fiancé got his visa in hand today!! Yay!!
Since we couldn’t really sit around at home for a whole day waiting for delivery, we opted for pick up from the depot as it’s only about 20 minutes away. The email notification that it was ready for pick up actually came in on Tuesday though so it only took one week from approval at interview to visa/passport ready for pickup. POE is June 11th- can’t wait!

Question !
on CEAC- when I check my status it said READY
underneath it there will be Nr. FRN 2018 xxxxxxx 01 FRN. does this 01 mean anything ? My friend has 01 02 03
another question, why did the date update ?
Case created 10 May
Case Last updated 24 May 2018. but my case status changed as READY back in 22 May ?
so does case READY mean not 100 % Ready as it still updating ?
anyone ? I am so confused
I can’t speak for the date change but the number at the end represents the number of applicants. The beneficiary is 01 and any dependents (children spouse, etc) will be listed as 02, 03 etc.

Our snail mail is literal snail mail. The DS-160 I sent last week (monday) literally arrived today at the embassy while I was waiting in the waiting area for my interview.
But everything worked out, and I can say we're approved!
June wedding, here we come.
Congratulations!!

Thanks so much! After months and months of waiting, I can’t believe it’s finally happening.
I’ll be crossing all fingers and toes for you guys but seriously, it’s the the wait that’s the worst part. I know it’s easier said than done, especially speaking in hindsight, but don’t let yourselves stress over it too much. Girl, my nerves were absolutely frazzled and my poor honey had to deal with my rollercoaster emotions because of it. Lol After the initial tears of joy at the Embassy, I was nearly reduced to tears again as I apologised and begged forgiveness from my sweet, understanding, and incredibly patient fiancé for having to put up with me during these past few weeks. He’s the calm and sensible manly type while I’m the girly, sensitive, emotional mess that legit ugly cries everytime Bambi’s mom dies in the movie. Yes, that’s me. God help him.

We were exactly the same with the flight but my fiancé did put his notice in at work a few weeks ago because he had to give 30 days notice. It was risky move and one we were reeeally nervous about but thankfully it worked out ok!
We just booked his flight today and he’ll be flying in on the 11th which is less than a week after me! Eeek, I can’t wait!

Has anyone from the UK had an interview yet? I’m under the impression it takes 7-10 days to get your passport back after the interview & just wanted to see if anyone had already gone through this
I think @Thelucybelle said theirs came back in about 10 days with a holiday in between. My fiancé just had his interview yesterday and the CEAC status is currently Administrative Processing. After the interview, he was told he’d get his passport back in 1 to 2 weeks so we’ll see!

12 hours ago, Brittani said:Awww, congrats girl. I keep getting anxiety because our stupid CEAC STILL SAYS IN TRANSIT but I've figured out if your case isn't there it wouldn't let you schedule an interview. I think someone forgot to update our case online. He has his medical this Saturday.
Soooo, when are you flying back over?? I love hearing approval stories especially from the UK.
Thanks so much. 😁 I wouldn’t worry too much about CEAC still saying in-transit, especially since London is all digital. Plus you guys still have a few more weeks for it to change. It’ll be a relief once your fiancé gets the medical done and then trust me, this process totally flies by after that! Medical was really laid back and easy. Everyone was really friendly and the doctor was chatty, just kept asking my fiancé questions like where he’s going, where he’ll live, what he’ll do, stuff like that. Even with that, the whole time he spent with the actual examining doctor was less than 10 minutes. The majority of time is spent in the waiting room waiting for the nurse and tech to go over immunisation records and to do the x-ray. Honestly, we walked out of both the medical AND the interview thinking, that was easy! Lol
I’m flying home on the 5th of June! My fiancé is staying behind to finish up some stuff with our flat and such but we’re looking for him to fly out the following week. So exciting!! I keep texting him at work at random times whenever I remember, “Babe. WE’RE APPROVED!”
Good luck to you you guys but honestly, the hardest part of this whole process has been the waiting! We’re almost there though girl. Woohoo!

Oh Dear, Congratulations!!!!!!
Now your cheekbones will hurt from smiling all the time, so start exercising! It uses different muscles than what we were used to for the past year!!
You are so right! I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since we left the Embassy. My face is already hurting!

@Naes @Brittani Fiancé just had his interview @ London Embassy and WE’RE APPROVED!!! I seriously started crying when my fiancé turned away from the counter and gave me a thumbs up with a huge smile on his face.
It really is true what they say. All that stress and anxiety leading up to the interview and we honestly walked out of there thinking, that was pretty painless! Good luck to everyone still waiting for upcoming interviews. It was a long 9 months for us but I’m sure it goes without saying, the joy and relief you’ll feel when you hear “you’re approved” really is amazing.

I am so scared of getting scold at for oh so many reason I just want to close my eyes and let them stab me....
I kind of ended up making them send me by email... I don't think they were happy about it...
Girl, just BREATHE and let yourself relax a little. You’ve got everything you need. You’ve got this! Even if they weren’t happy about it, they still sent it to you. They could’ve just said no, flat out. But they didn’t. They sent it. So they’ll get over it and you can get on from this God forsaken process, with your fiancé by your side.
You’ll be fine, girl. Really. Now if I can take a phrase from the great and wise @Greenbaum , “Trust the process.”
Lol

Sorry for disappearing for a few days. Running through some files apparently not really missing but given different from my smart government’s embassy 🤦🏻♀️
Update:
Noa1 received: 9/15 submit: 9/18
Noa2: 4/4 on paper 4/5 online
NVC received: 4/25
Case number: 4/26
In transit: 5/2 (mail notification)
Ready:5/7 (however it actually is 1 business day because japan has a holiday between 5/3-5/7
Medical: 5/15 Results:5/18
Packet3: 5/15 (This was not regular! Do not risk like I did - Embassy in Tokyo prefers some files (may slightly change depending on the country of origin) to be sent before the interview - We ended up asking them because of the interview date being so close...hope they won’t scold me on the interview for it...)
Interview: 5/21 (changed from 6/11 which changed from 7/9 - if I tried to reschedule due to packet3 not coming on time I would have paid the MRV fees again.)
Now I go back to scanning months up to date, and translating all the new documents...
Glad you got your packet 3 sorted! And just a few more days until your interview now!

Thank you @LizM and @Kswtangel
Yes, I am officially Miss K now! yaaaaaaayyyyy
it was sooo beautifullll, this is the park we picked and did it:
the last days have been crazy - and all i can say: the K1 isn't over yet hahahaha
everything is sooo hard to get (at least in georgia)! getting a title and tag for the car is only possible if you have the
georgia Driving Licence, so that you only get if XYZ, and that you can't get because XXYZ! it's a neverending running
around thing now haha
for the first time i said today that i was thankful, that i don't have a work permit yet and can't work! there is no way
on earth that a normal person with a regular job is able to run around like that hahaha
Oh yay, congratulations love!! How beautiful it must’ve been.
I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble getting everything you need though. Nothing like government red tape to drive you mad.
But at least you have your HUSBAND there to help keep you sane. Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
Hopefully things will sort out and settle down soon and you can really start to enjoy your new life as the new Mrs!

Just got home - a long long day. I’ve been out for 13 hours! Was extremely nervous traveling there. But the medical itself was quick & easy. All the doctors & nurses were so nice. No issues at all with my Medical! So when the results come back they’re being sent to the Embassy.
next step - interview!
Yay!!! This is fantastic news! I kept thinking about you yesterday and sending positive vibes. I am so super happy for you! Congratulations!!

Thanks so much Lucy! I can’t believe today is finally here! After everything we’ve all been through, it really is surreal to have my love coming here to stay. I don’t even think I’ve really fully processed that yet. It will be so nice to just settle down and get into our own little routine after this, even the dishwashing part you mentioned.
Lol
