Thanks love! We are pretty much on cloud ⛅️ 9 right now!! He will be here 4 weeks today!!!

I bet you guys are on cloud 9!  And that’s so awesome that he’ll be there in just a month!  Woohoo!  My fiancé had his medical today and his interview is in a few weeks.  We’re hoping he can be home by mid June!  :D   I’m so ready for this whole process to be over already but being able to celebrate with everyone who finally crosses that finish line sure does make the constant waiting more bearable.  Btw, how is your mommy doing?  She’s been in my prayers.  I’m sure she’ll be excited by this news as well. :)

Soooo....my night just got a little better....

I just called NVC I dialed 7 like normal she said it appears this is an electronic case unfortunately I can't provide any information on it...my response "so does this mean it's been received?" she said it appears the visa center does have it. I told her she just made my night so much better. She giggled...I smiled. I can't call again tonight because I'm on the clock and don't get off until midnight but I will called tomorrow and let you all know if I got my case number or not.

Yayyyy!  Congratulations!  I’m so glad it’s finally arrived.  I bet you get your case number too this week. :D

    IN TRANSIT WOOOOOOO!!!!

I have the goofiest celebration dance, currently prancing around the house with excitement :jest:

Yayyyyy!!  That’s wonderful, Sarah!!  I’m right there dancing with you! :jest:   Seriously girl, after all of this ####### that we’ve been through, we all deserve to celebrate as goofy, as loud and as crazy as we want to!  Just don’t do anything that’ll get you arrested.

  5. Fiancé had his medical done today at Knightsbridge in London.  All good pending lab results.  Gosh it feels good to finally have that done!  It really is crazy to have waited all of this time and now everything seems to be flying by.  Interview is in just a few weeks and it’s all starting to feel so real.  To everyone still waiting for case numbers, interviews, etc: guys just hang in there!  I know this whole process has tested our will, our patience, and for some, even relationships.  But I promise, there is an end in sight.  Once that ball gets rolling, you’ll see how fast it all goes.  Before we know it, we will all finally be in the arms of the ones we love.  I’m sooo looking forward to that day.  For all of us.

  6. My fiance's medical was originally scheduled for May 12th but after calling every day to check for cancellations, we were finally able to get him in tomorrow!  Yay!  At the very least, this sooner appointment gives us more of a buffer to ensure the medical arrives at the London Embassy in time for the interview as the medical group that does them here has often been known to take their sweet time sending everything over.  <_< But we're tempted to move his interview up as well, by at least a couple of days.  Oh, the temptation!

I'm aware that it says the average is 2-3 weeks, however, I was given information different by the actual agent at the NVC, hence my confusion and thus my question.

And my other question was about if it was possible to email them first. I read you can call and give them your email, but the agent said I couldn't do that until after 30 days. This is why I'm asking, because I'm confused.

NVC will always tell you “worst case scenario”, for lack of a better term.  Yes it can take 30 days, as you were told, or even 6 weeks for your case to arrive at NVC.  However as a forum of people who are all going through the same process, we have learned (by sharing our personal experiences with the process) that the average time seems to be about 2 to 3 weeks.  Of course some people have fallen on either side of that average, but it is just that, an average.  My case arrived at NVC in 22 days but I’ve seen others arrive in a week.  Every case is different.  There is no set time frame no matter what anyone, NVC or otherwise, tells you.

As far as them adding your email,  they are unable to do that until your case is in their database.  This is why the agent said you couldn’t add it until 30 days, because that’s the same timeframe he expected your case would take to arrive and be put into the database.  They have nothing to associate your email address with until your case arrives and is uploaded into their system. To be honest, 30 days is actually lower than what most of us were told.  Most of us heard up to 6 weeks to arrive and up to another 8 weeks for it to be assigned a case number.  Luckily, we’ve seen those numbers to be greatly exaggerated by NVC in most cases.  Again, there are exceptions.  If you’d like, you can send them an email to the email address listed on your NOA2 along with the information it states to include.  They will not reply to you until your case is entered into their system and sent to the Embassy but they will have your email address for when it is.  Alternatively, just keep calling everyday and update your email address over the phone once your case arrives and is put into their system.

I know there are a lot of pages to read through but this forum is a treasure trove of information.  I’ve personally found answers to questions I didn’t even know to ask and I definitely feel more prepared now because of it.  If you read through it in your spare time, I think you’ll find that to be true as well.  In the meantime, I hope this information helps you along in your journey.  :)

    Good day everyone.

Question,  my case is on its way to London.  My medical is booked.

I filled the Ds-160 out and on ceac it says in transit to london.

Can i book my interview slot now or do i have to wait until London receive my case?

Our case just seems to be slow moving all over.

    Thanks in advance

For London, you are able to book your interview now.  Just make sure to schedule it at least 5 business days after your medical so that Knightsbridge gets the records sent over in time.   :)

So I quit my job today for sexual discrimination and bullying/harassment. Currently packing up my things as I live where I work(ed). A nice approval would perk me up today 😂😂😂🤪

So sorry you had to go through that but good for you for standing up for yourself and removing yourself from a toxic environment.  Nobody should have to put up with that or be forced to leave their job because of it, but sometimes you just need to do what’s best for you.  I’m crossing my fingers you get some good news today love.

thaaaanks to everyone for the support!!! <3 you guys roooock

Woohoo!!  Girl, I am so excited for you!!  After all of this time, it will be truly amazing and wonderful to see each and every one of us cross that finish line and FINALLY be with the ones that we love!  Wishing you luck on a smooth and easy POE girl but I’m sure everything will go splendidly.  You’ve got this!  You deserve this!  Enjoy it and pleeeeease update us when you get to the other side!!  :D

yaaaay glad to hear that :D wohooo! let's go let's go let's go!!!

    so plans on POE? :D

Thanks so much!  I’m still so excited!  :D We originally thought we wouldn’t be able to get an interview until June so we’d planned on a late June, early July POE.  Now we’re hoping he can fly into either Austin, Houston, or Dallas early June which would be awesome because his birthday is later that month!  Thankfully, we’ve accrued enough air miles during our relationship to cover his flight here but the dates that available will determine which POE he flies in through as the reward flights only cover direct flights.  I want him here ASAP! Lol Eeeeek!  This still feels like a dream!  :D

    @ChuAni Congrats Sweetie!!! @Kswtangel @Little_Vixen @Swissmiss82 @Christy&J

Ok girls, we decided to gamble. (I know how things should go but we decided to risk it)

So My case is at NVC and most likely won't get ready for a while because it is a 9 day holiday in Japan (I can't believe I'm saying this but I hate this holiday!!!!)

So I submitted DS-160.. everything is good till here...

Gamble No.1:  scheduled my medical for may 15 because I will fly to Turkey on 18, unless I get the e-mail from NVC or packet 3 (snail mail) from embassy I may have to reschedule.

Then I paid the MRV fee....

Gamble No.2: I booked the interview for July 9.

I read all the packet 3 information I could find and it seems like that's just a packet and I may or may not chose to send some things... which I mean if they don't come till July 9 I believe there are bigger problems then risking one interview date....

So in the end, I was ready with everything. every single paper and information... and I gambled... now may I have all fingers crossed here please

All fingers AND toes crossed for you!  But as @ChuAni said, your medical is 3 weeks away.  I’m sure you’ll get something from NVC or Embassy way before then.  And even if for some crazy reason you didn’t, you still have proof on the website.  This whole process has all of our nerves in a jumbled, frayed mess.  We overstress, overthink, and over analyse everything in our own cases but can offer clear, concise direction and advice to others in theirs.    Even after scheduling my fiancé’s medical and interview, my mind automatically went to freak out mode trying to plan for worst case scenarios.  It’s exhausting!  These USCIS/NVC devils have driven us mad.   But seriously girl, you got this!  You are well prepared.  You have everything you need.  We’re all here rooting for you and everything will be fine!

    Congrats!!!

And it seems like your resolved everything here too, so me go relax and just read now :D

Thanks @Naes!!  This whole process has been such an emotional rollercoaster.  I’m so grateful to finally be at this point.  NVC was making me crazy! :girlwerewolf2xn:Lol  And I’m happy to help where I can.  You go relax, girl.  You need to rest and unwind, especially after the stress of these past few days.

And you scheduled your medical then scheduled your interview, right? My fiance was under the impression it was the opposite...I was like uhh babe I don't think that's right lol.

Yes.  Medical first, then interview.  You can schedule your medical as soon as you have your case number.  You don’t have to wait for the status to change at all.  Knightsbridge will literally just ask you for the number to put with your file.  The interview on the other hand, can’t be scheduled until your file is in transit.  The online scheduling system won’t allow it.

    6 hours ago, Tpienkowski said:

Can you remember if Knightsbridge has a lot of availability?

They had availability about 2 weeks out when I called and it seems they occasionally open up additional slots on Saturdays.

  15. 2 minutes ago, Brittani said:

So once you get case number and it's in transit we can go ahead and start scheduling? :)

Yes, exactly.  We are lucky that our embassy allows us to schedule before it actually shows ready status.  Just make sure that you’ve scheduled your medical first because you’ll need that to be done at least 5 working days before the interview.  From the experiences of other members, Knightsbridge isn’t always great about getting the medical sent over to the Embassy right away so you might want to give yourself a few extra days just in case.

That's really exciting. Ours is London too. I can't wait to get our damn case number.

    CONGRATS!

Thanks so much!  I am beyond excited! :D  And girl I know how frustrating that wait is.  Ours took 3 weeks to arrive at NVC.  However, it seems London is transitioning to electronic case files so there’s a longer wait up front but the rest of the process seems to be much quicker.  We just received our case number yesterday and it’s already in transit to the Embassy!  So don’t stress too much.  The wait time evens out in the end and it’ll be here before you know it! :)
