So the NVC found our case again and it was transferred to electronic... I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Any thoughts?

It’s a good thing, and normal, as the UK does electronic processing now.  Same thing happened to our case.  It actually gets sent to the Embassy pretty quickly too and the process just seems to fly by after that!  Brace yourself. :D

Spoke to lovely Sunny at NVC today - case number not assigned but confirmed it was recieved on the 8th May & is electronic.

Hoping my fiancé gets an email today or tomorrow :)

I hope London Embassy has lots of availability in July as i dont fly back from my visit to Jake until the 9th of June - hoping to book my medical late June.

Congratulations!  We had Sunny as well and she truly is a ray of sunshine.  :D  Your case number should be coming very soon.  And I’m sure you won’t have any trouble scheduling a date you want in July.  At the moment though, only the June schedule is open but there is still plenty of availability for almost every day of the month after 6 June.  July schedule will probably open toward the latter part of this month.

Hey everyone, I need some help/advice. I basically just lost my cool because yesterday I called 2 times & both times I was told that my case had finally been received, this time, I call 2 times (once pressing 7 and once pressing 9) and Daffnie told me there isn’t a single trace of one case anywhere. HELP

It’s ok, you aren’t the first person this has happened to.  I’ve seen this happen when there is about to be a change or update on a case.  It’s been suggested that the case “disappears” from the system when it is being accessed or adjusted.  Just try calling again and if they tell you the same thing, just hang up and try again a little later.  But don’t worry, your case is there and didn’t actually disappear anywhere.  I wouldn’t doubt you get your case number soon too.  :)

My fiancé has officially booked everything.

    Medical is May 26th

    Interview is June 12th

I do have a question for fellow U.K. filers...

with the couriior service does he need to pick it up at the closest office to him OR is it delivered directly to him?

He can have it delivered to a depot closest to him at no additional charge.  Alternatively, he can pay to have it delivered directly to him.  He would’ve had to make this selection when he paid the fee to schedule.  If he selected the free option when he scheduled, there will be an option to pay to upgrade to premium service (which is home delivery).  The option he selected will be displayed on the home page when he logs into the scheduling system.

i was just re-reading this and feeling sad.

    and checked the site again.

i used my last reschedule: May 21

I got it! And then wrote here for you!!!

Ok today is a lucky day and I need to go buy a lottery ticket!  I just checked the scheduling page as well and was able to get my fiancé an appointment for one day sooner.  Yes it’s just a day but, A DAY IS A DAY when you’re trying to bring your fiancé home!

    @Kswtangel Thank you so much!!!❤️

I knew it was the same issue because we are neighbours(country)lol, so the vaccination system was similar. What about the medical summary? Did your fiancé had to go and get the one in Hungary and the one at the GP?

The interview requests police certificate from home and ACRO.  Did he go home for that? I am trying to find answers everywhere and it looks like I have to get it...

Sorry for bothering you with so many questions, the last case similar to mine was in 2008😖, and since then a lot have changed with the process for K1 visa

No worries!  That’s what we’re here for, to help each other.   :) My fiancé moved to the UK when he was 10 so we only had to get records for the UK.  The police certificates are needed for anywhere you’ve lived for more than a year since the age of 16.  My fiancé has lived in London since before that age so he only needed the UK one.  As far as medical records, we only had his current GP print one out for him.  You might want to call Knightsbridge to double check with them but since all they are checking for is current or recurrent illnesses that you’re being treated for, I would think a summary from your current GP would suffice as long as you are established with them, are generally healthy, and don’t have an extensive medical history.  If you do have a complicated medical history, you will likely need notes from your previous GP if they treated you for that diagnosis.  Again, other than his vaccination book, he didn’t have or request any records from Hungary.  Actually, we did request a new birth certificate from Hungary but only because the new ones are printed in both Hungarian AND English.  We were trying to avoid having to pay for it to be translated.    If you have any other questions, don’t feel bad for asking.  If I can help, I’m happy to.

@Kswtangel I was born in Romania and have some missing vaccination too. Td and MMR. Although, I had vaccines for measles and rubella in childhood, but no mumps. So far, the Knightbridge clinic told me to come and they will figure it out which vaccines I need. I want to avoid paying that much for vaccines, as I can go to the GP and get them done there. The problem is my GP is so clueless though😖.  What vaccines did your fiancé get?

That’s pretty much exactly what my fiancé was missing.  He had measles and rubella vaccinations as an infant but no mumps.  In the end, we just ending up asking his GP to do the MMR all over again to be on the safe side.  He got two doses 30 days apart.  Since GP did them for free, we were able to avoid paying Knightsbridge any more money than they were already taking from us for the medical exam.  Lol

just to show the ridicule of our situation. I was extremely extremely lucky to get my date, they just finished all July dates.

giving only 1 day in each week for k visa (+ spousal from what I gather) applications

Ok, that is insane and ridiculous.  I’ll have to admit, I was very surprised and grateful for the availability at the London Embassy when I first saw it because we were expecting to get a late June or early July appointment.  Even still, I can’t imagine having to put up with what you’re having to.  ONE DAY a week??  Ludicrous!  We’d surely pay anything for a sooner appointment as well if we had to deal with that.

I’m glad you were able to snatch up that cancellation when you did then.  And if it happened once, it could happen again.  I know you said before that you’d happily pay the fee again if you could reschedule your appointment for something even sooner, so I’ll be crossing my fingers with you that another cancellation opens up.  Sending prayers, positive vibes and thoughts your way girl.  :)

    Jealous..........

Come to London @Naes!  You can use our address  Lol  But before you get too jealous, the medical fee here is ridiculous.  There’s only one clinic you can use and they charge you £300 (over $400) just for the exam.  Missing vaccinations cost £35-£60 a piece.  My fiancé was actually born in Hungary so when we saw those prices, we briefly considered scheduling there instead.

Anyone’s fiancé in the UK and will be going to the London embassy? We haven’t received our case number yet (hoping to next week which will be 3 weeks) but just curious if there’s s decent amount of interview dates for June?

    Thank you!

Our case took 22 days to arrive at NVC but our case number was available the next day and it was “in-transit” the day after that.

    4 hours ago, Tpienkowski said:

I believe of last week the earliest appointment was for June 5th, our case has just been received so hopefully our number will be here in 2-3 days and we can book everything as well (for London you only need the case number to book the interview)

This is the availability for the London Embassy as of now guys.  You can schedule your medical at Knightsbridge as soon as you have your case number.  To schedule your interview though, you’ll need your case to show “in-transit” on CEAC.  The scheduling system won’t allow you to do it before then but it usually only takes a few days for that to happen.  :)

:( guess we’re gonna have to hope that there’s an early medical appointment, would still like him here before June 20th

If you don’t get the date you want at Knightsbridge, just keep calling them to check for cancellations.  We originally had 12th of May but after a week of calling there was finally a cancellation for the next day and my fiancé was able to do his medical last Thursday.  There’s still hope!

Just got our case case # :) NOA1 11th April.

now I know this has been covered many times before but would someone mind telling me the next steps I need to take now I have the case #? Btw I will be interviewed in London.

    Thanks!!

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.

Pretty girl! Thank you so much. Unfortunately, I still didn't receive my packet 3 from the embassy. It's been a month since my status were ready. So I decided to go ahead and tried if I can get an appointment for interview even without packet 3. The website let me pay for the MRV fee so I took June 7th as my interview date because MAY 2018 is already full. Ugh! Wasted a month waiting for packet 3. I'm gonna go ahead and attend my interview even without the appointment letter. Let's see if they'll throw me out. hehehe!

Hi dear!  Oh wow, that’s crazy that you’ve been waiting that long!  I’m so glad that you’ve finally got your appointment though.  :)  I know it seems like another month is a long time to wait but you are almost there girl.  You will soon be with your love.    I pray everything goes by smoothly and QUICKLY for you from here on out!

Is there anything we can do now that we have our case number? I know the interview can't be scheduled until it's sent but can we schedule his medical now that we have the case number? Mainly asking fellow UK filers....

I know, I know it's probably been discussed in previous just wanting to get confirmation.

and can the ds-160 be done now? I haven't even dabbled in that yet been waiting for the case number.

Yes!  You can schedule your medical at Knightsbridge.  They will just ask for your case number when making the appointment.  If NVC has your email address, you should be getting an email with your case number as well.  I just forwarded that to my fiancé who printed it out and took it with him to the appointment.  Alternatively, you can print a copy of your status on CEAC if you need to.  I’m pretty sure they just want something to show your case number on it.  Monday is a UK bank holiday, unfortunately, so call Knightsbridge on Tuesday to schedule your medical.  They open at 9am.  Surprisingly, when we scheduled my fiancé’s appointments, the Embassy actually had much sooner availability.  I called Knightsbridge everyday for a week asking about cancellations and we were eventually able to get an appointment 9 days sooner.  You might not be that fussed about getting a sooner date but, just so you know, it is possible.

Yes, DS-160 can be completed now as well.  Some of the questions can be confusing and the page times out quickly so we printed out a blank copy of the questions and filled it out ahead of time.  Then we just went back and plugged in the answers.  Of course, this isn’t necessary but we found it helpful.  Alternatively, just keep saving as you go along so that you’re not stuck having to re-complete sections you’ve already done.  Sooo annoying.  <_<  Lol
