No.  That process seems to be for immigrant visas that are processed completely by NVC.  Ours are not.  They are handled by the local consulate office.  Have you already completed your DS-160 and requested your police certificate?  If not, do that ASAP.  Now that you have your case number, you need to call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam if you haven’t already done so.  After you schedule your exam, you’ll need to complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form so that you can schedule your interview at the Embassy.  When your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  Hope this helps!  Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to assist.

That is the correct page but incorrect visa type.  You will be checking under immigrant visa instead of non-immigrant as it looks like you were selecting here.  Maybe that’s all your issue is!  Let me know if switching it over works for you and I will check mine again.  Lol

@José y Yeny Choosing the language should be the first step.  Option 1 is for English.  It occurred to me that you might be choosing option 2 for Spanish so I just called NVC to see what happens and it appears that if you choose option 2 for Spanish, you will not be given the option to choose 5 or 7.  It will automatically place you on hold for a representative.  If this is what you are doing, just wait on hold for the representative and tell them what you are calling about.  Hope this helps!

@AnthonyJ, there are a number of us that this is happening to, myself included, so rest assured that you’re not alone.  I received my case number yesterday and then even received emails from NVC with my case information.  A second email from them came through a little later to notify me that the London Embassy accepted our request for expedited processing. (The expedited processing email is not anything special as all K1 visas are considered expedited, just in case you were wondering).  Even after all of that, my case number is still coming up invalid, even now.  We must assume that this is either a temporary system issue or that it just takes a while for all of our information to be uploaded to the system. I will keep checking throughout the day and even through the weekend.  I know NVC doesn’t work weekends but I would think that system updates might run automatically.  Further to that, I can’t bring myself to twiddle my thumbs and wait until Monday to check again.

Same thing as @reblem14 and @Kat123. After 5 calls being told there must have been a mistake they haven't received it I was told my file is on the electronic system and to call back to extension 5. Called extension 5 and was told my case was received today, the 27th.. SO WEIRD but I'm relieved they really do have it.

That’s great news!!  I don’t know what their deal is over there but they need to stop playing with our emotions already.  I’m still waiting for my case number to show up on CEAC.    I’m sorry you had to deal with that added stress sweetie, but I’m so glad it’s sorted now.   A drink sounds great right about now!  I’m thinking I will make some pina coladas.  Everyone’s invited!    Lol

So crazy because two different people on Wednesday and Thursday told me it was received. It MUST be there!!

It is there sweetie if two different people told you so.  Try calling them in an hour like you said but don’t let them stress you out.

Yup that’s the best thing to do.  I’m not sure why different people will give different answers.  Maybe they don’t want to answer questions about how long it will take to get a case number so they just say it isn’t there yet.  Either way, it’s annoying and frustrating.

Same thing is happening to a number of us who just received our case numbers.  Consensus is that it takes a while to load into the online system.  I received my case number yesterday and it’s still not showing up yet.  Try in a few hours or tomorrow would be my suggestion.  But congratulations on getting your case number!

Same thing happens to me.  We just got our case number assigned today and I get that same message so it’s not just you.  I did however get an email from NVC with our case and invoice number.  A little later, another email came in saying that London Embassy had accepted our request for expedited processing.  Still not showing up on CEAC though.   I think we’re just a little too excited for our own good!   Lol

But if you check the next day and you don't see it, call NVC back. I've heard a few cases where people were given the wrong case number.

Thanks so much @emekus94!  It feels good to finally get to this point.   I took @Greenbaum‘s advice and sent an email inquiry to NVC with our application information last week so they’ve actually just emailed me to give me our case and invoice numbers.  I also received a second email from them about half an hour later to inform us that the London embassy accepted our case for expedited processing.  Still no record on the CEAC website though.  I’ll give it until tomorrow I suppose.  Hopefully it will sort itself out by then.  On a brighter note, my fiancé’s medical has been scheduled at Knightsbridge for Saturday May 12th.

Thanks @Swissmiss82!   Yes, Tyler was super awesome.  He was very friendly and informative.  And yikes!  My NOA2 was April 4th online so it’s already been 3 weeks.  I can’t imagine having to wait 3 more! Now if I could just get my case number to show up online, I’d be golden.  For today anyway.  Lol  I’m hoping our case gets to the embassy sooooon so that will be the next thing to obsess over.    I just wish our embassy was as quick as yours.  Congrats to you too, btw!  So exciting!!! 

So after waiting what seemed like forever, my case has finally arrived at NVC yesterday and I was able to get my case number today!  Finally!  I have a question though.  I know I’ve read something about this before but I can’t seem to find it now.  Should my case number show up on the CEAC website right away for tracking?  I entered it in, under immigrant visa, and it says that my search did not return any data.  I’m pretty sure I read that it can take a bit to show up sometimes but just wanted to make sure.  After waiting so long, my nerves are a bit frazzled and I’m trying my best not to freak out over everything.  Lol  Can someone offer some insight on this please?  

Just called for the second time today.  The first time I called, I was instructed to call back using option 5.  I called back and spoke to Sunny who confirmed that they had received my case yesterday but said that there was no case number assigned.  She said to try calling back on Monday and my case number should be assigned.  Sure Sunny, I’ll call back on Monday.    So of course I called again a couple of hours later and this time spoke to Tyler.  Tyler was the first one to ask me for the petitioner’s name and DOB so I got super excited and sure enough, he gave me my case number!  He said it was under administrative processing but as soon as they were done, it would be forwarded to the London Embassy.  Quick question.  I know I’ve read something about this before but I can’t seem to find it now.  Should my case number show up on the CEAC website right away for tracking?  I entered it in, under immigrant visa, and it says no records found.  I’m pretty sure I read that it can take a bit to show up sometimes but just wanted to make sure.

unfortunately, the current interview dates already changed to July 9. And I learnt for foreigners living in japan they want some of the papers to be sent there beforehand and that I cannot do this before I get the package. And that takes at least a good week... and that’s only if it reaches them this week because next week is a 9 day holiday in japan including the embassy. 

 

I can’t even go to turkey or I go to turkey and give up on July interview possibility. 

 

I need to cancel my venue too.. it’s good that was the only thing we had anyway.

So I’m busy cancelling things for a while. I’ll write if I get any news today although I don’t think I will.

I’m praying this turns around for you and that you are pleasantly surprised with amazing news soon my friend.  You deserve this.  We all do, but YOU especially girl.  I know your frustration, especially when so many seem to breeze through this process.  That’s not to say that we aren’t happy for them.  Every one of us who’s had to endure this process deserves any break we can catch.  But it doesn’t necessarily make it easier for those of us still waiting, except for the hope and faith that their progress gives us that there is, in fact, a light at the end of this God forsaken tunnel!  If I had to do this process again (I wouldn’t by the way), I’d bring my own darn flashlight!  😂 But we’ll get through this @Naes.  In a few months time, we’ll be able to look back on this and THANK GOD that it’s finally behind us.  Like I said, I’m praying that you get good news soon.  But no matter what, even if you end up needing to change up the wedding plans a bit, at the end of the day, you guys still have each other and you’ll figure it out TOGETHER.  So don’t let them steal your joy, ok.  Sending love and hugs  to you sweet girl.
