The sooner you start the process, the sooner the visa will be issued......it will be several months before he can schedule his interview....just my opinion.

kris&me got a reaction from Neide in Help. They don't want to provide police reports.
officers have to give each report a number/  you will need that number to request a copy of the report but the following applies for any that are under investigation
    https://www.maine.gov/dps/msp/investigation-traffic/records

Please be advised that police investigative and intelligence records are not generally considered public records under Maine law, and the release of such records is restricted under Title 16, chapter 9 of the Maine Revised Statutes Annotated.
Below you will find a link to the application form for requesting an investigative record, as well as the fee structure for the release of reports. Please be advised that if you request, and are entitled to, multimedia files that are graphic in nature, you may also be required to sign an additional release acknowledging your understanding of the nature of the item(s) requested.

i have no issue with an american wanting to marry here and a person coming to accommodate the USC so the USC family can be part of it / even to have the other family here on tourist visa to also attend
but that person needs to return and go thru the CR1 as we all do
and if USCIS would do away with the AOS for a visitor maybe more tourists visas could be issued so people come here to spend their money

since you say the K1 had been approved (decision) and you sent a letter to cancel the visa as relationship ended and the bene decided to stay in Japan,  then yes, normal for USCIS to inform you that activity had taken action (i would suspect to cancel the approved visa)

It may be better to go to the interview / they will ask for you to send in the medical exam when you are able to do it
some embassies will say denied but it is temporary till the medical is received

    it helps understanding
and we can not ever judge what a person does on any single day when you wait on them/ they could have just had a terrible experience

see a lawyer here ASAP (you can call today and see today or tomorrow)
This is to protect your interests for the divorce
Any children?  important as you can not take a child out of the states (even out of a state) without spouse's approval
inform your spouse of name of your attorney and let him handle your side
I , personally ,  would not file for the divorce
i would let the USC pay spouse's lawyer,  and for the divorce  and the filing fees
you only need to protect your rights under the divorce and a lawyer can explain this for a consultation fee

first i hope your connecting time is not too short
landing time is about 20 minutes before you get to even unload
most of us do allow 3 hours for customs and immigration / things happen like plane can be late / bad weather/ much depends on the day and time you are arriving

one review of Houston said line was long as he had to stand in tourist line (as you are not US resident yet

but process with officer was just checking visa and asking a few questions

Your supporting documents should have been sent with application
The packet is reviewed prior to interview and a lot of consulates make the decision based on your application and supporting evidence
you will read here over and over that a CO does not look at the things bought to the interview

kris&me got a reaction from Boiler in Getting a Visa for South Africa for Mission Trip
you do need a missionary work visa not tourist visa for South Africa
note this from missionary work site in south Africa as you have to report to a missionary training center
there are other requirements also concerning the flight
Will missionaries travel alone to the MTC?
Each missionary is flying from their home state and will connect in major airports such as Atlanta. Missionaries will meet up in major connecting points and continue travel to the MTC together.
When will missionaries get their passport back?
They will receive their passport and itinerary via FedEx about two weeks prior to their travel to the missionary training center.
FBI clearance letter is also needed plus 6 blank visa pages

A green card authorizes an individual to live and work in the United States permanently. A green card is valid for ten years and must be renewed subsequently. A green card holder can apply for U.S. citizenship after five years as a lawful permanent resident.
