  1. It is just we know very little of the situation of your girlfriend and her children. Does she have sole legal custody of the children? Is their father still in the picture? You have to look at situations like this when bringing children to the U.S. as if the father is still in the picture, he will need to grant some level of agreement to allow the children to immigrate. You don’t need that to actually file an I130 for them, but it will be needed at the consulate interviews if they are required to have one. Good Luck! P.S. I would suggest pursuing an I130 over a K1 here.
  2. Are they both under 18? If you marry before the children are 18, they are considered children with respect to filing I130s for them. You will also have to navigate the legalities of immigrating children with respect to the other parent. Good Luck!
  3. Yes, you will need two I134s and supporting documents for both. You as the petitioner are always considered the main or primary sponsor even if you make zero dollars, and anyone else would be considered a co-sponsor. Good Luck!
  4. So another 4-5 years of waiting. We filed for my stepson in the F3 category back in 2020, so we are in the waiting game as well. Good Luck!
  5. I don’t disagree, but it is interesting how the company responds (see below) in a hypocritical fashion. Maybe the company should say if you want better tyre life, don’t buy an EV. One of the big marketing strategies behind EV’s is they are fun to drive with instant torque, with 0-60 times regularly emphasized, low CoGs so cornering is great, etc. I remember @Mike E telling us this was the main reason he bought his Tesla which is just fine. The problem is that this marketing works for the early adopters, but as the vehicles go more mainstream, people will be surprised by how poor the tyre life is on EVs simply due to the massive weight increases of the vehicle, and not just because they are launching themselves from a stop sign or red light or trying to take a corner at 50. We also need to remember that the tyre wear directly translates into emissions of particulates and VOCs. A spokesman said: “Tyre longevity is influenced by a wide range of factors, most importantly the way in which the vehicle is driven, for example, hard cornering, braking and acceleration can cause more wear than gentle driving.”
  6. I don’t disagree with anything you wrote with one exception (see below), but there is a reason property crime is rising in areas like this, and why thieves feel brazen enough to do what they do. I know many that label themselves “progressives” like to deride “broken windows” policing/prosecuting, but they work. It works not just for the rich and well off, but it works for the middle and lower class that just want to live their lives in peace. There is a reason these criminal gangs do these things in places like LA, NYC, SF, Seattle, etc., because they can with little or no risks. As to my disagreement, it is using statistics for crime rates. Statistics can be massaged to show almost anything. Does the LA Police even make reports for car parts theft anymore? Are all crimes actually reported to the FBI to show the statistics? Anyway, I hope they find the people that did this and prosecute them fully, but I am not holding my breath given the person that runs the prosecutor’s office in LA.
  7. I hope everyone has a very nice Memorial Day while remembering the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this country.
  8. Thanks, I forgot USCIS does not list the I485 biometrics fee separate anymore. To the OP, money order or check works, or you can pay with a credit card using form G1450. Good Luck! https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees
  9. Do a search on I130 expedite approved here in the VJ search function, and you will find some. YMMV. Good Luck! https://www.visajourney.com/sitesearch/?cx=partner-pub-3407508467788263%3A9725800110&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=I130+expedite+&sa=Search
  10. Fair and balanced? Does anyone believe FoxNews when they say it? Looking up the writer who wrote the screenplay, Gabriel Sherman, I find it hard to believe it is fair and balanced.
  11. LA appears to be a cesspool. I knew in San Fran the rule is don’t leave anything valuable in the car, and if possible get a rental car with a stack of insurance forms, but I did not realize it has gotten so bad in LA. General Hospital star Johnny Wactor, 37, is shot and killed in Los Angeles after robbery gone wrong https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13462311/General-Hospital-star-Johnny-Wactor-37-shot-killed-Los-Angeles-robbery.html
  12. IR5’s should take a couple of years. Since they are separate I130s, one may process faster than the other at USCIS, but you can regroup them when they reach NVC, and schedule their interviews at or near the same time. Good Luck!
  13. In my wife's case it was a minor error on her N400 form, and she was able to correct it at the interview. I agree with your attorney's suggestion. Good Luck!
  14. Yes, that wording is very poor for this question there should be an "N/A" option since the question contains two questions really with an "If" condition. I believe you should answer "Yes" to move on in the form (I don't think you can leave it blank and move on with the online form), and you can explain it to the IO at the interview. Here is another thread asking the same question, you may PM them to see what they ended up doing. Good Luck!
  15. Probably should go back at least a year. You can probably bring the child to the interview, but more than likely they will need to wait in the waiting area with your spouse. Good Luck!
  16. Airplane turbulence, climate change! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/singapore-airlines-turbulence-passenger-describes-horrifying-experience/
  17. Every weather event today is reported as due to climate change. It is like they never had tornadoes in the midwest before today.
  18. I feel for those folks in Iowa, not really sure a tornado in May is evidence of climate change, but this video is amazing.
  19. Isn't that normal in the recent past in the UK with the Tories in power for several years, and then Labour takes over for a few years?
  20. 1. Read the bullets under the section you underlined, that instruction only applies to two specific situations. In your case provide your 5 year history of addresses including your current one. 2. Since you got your GC through your employer, I doubt you have an OAN. To check, look at the NOA you received for your AOS and see if it starts with IOE. 3. Unless a traffic incident involved alcohol, you were arrested, or you seriously injured someone you do not need to submit documentation. This is from the N400 instructions page 20. The IO may ask you about it at the interview so you can explain the situation there. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/n-400instr.pdf 4. Yes, general provision. Good Luck!
  21. 1. Sure, many people get new passports between the DS260 and interview. Use your current passport number and provide your new one at the interview. 2. You can only put down what you remember. I am not sure if VisaJourney was listed, but it is also a social media site, so you can put that down under other. 3. I would either put Food Service Worker, or Homemaker. You can explain the situation at the interview if asked. Good Luck!
