  1. Hmm, a corrupt politician, who would have thought. Did Drug Traffickers Funnel Millions of Dollars to Mexican President López Obrador’s First Campaign? Years before Andrés Manuel López Obrador was elected as Mexico’s leader in 2018, U.S. drug-enforcement agents uncovered what they believed was substantial evidence that major cocaine traffickers had funneled some $2 million to his first presidential campaign. According to more than a dozen interviews with U.S. and Mexican officials and government documents reviewed by ProPublica, the money was provided to campaign aides in 2006 in return for a promise that a López Obrador administration would facilitate the traffickers’ criminal operations. The investigation did not establish whether López Obrador sanctioned or even knew of the traffickers’ reported donations. But officials said the inquiry — which was built on the extensive cooperation of a former campaign operative and a key drug informant — did produce evidence that one of López Obrador’s closest aides had agreed to the proposed arrangement. The allegation that representatives of Mexico’s future president negotiated with notorious criminals has continued to reverberate among U.S. law-enforcement and foreign policy officials, who have long been skeptical of López Obrador’s commitment to take on drug traffickers. https://www.propublica.org/article/mexico-amlo-lopez-obrador-campaign-drug-cartels
  2. I wonder how many takers Mr. Adams will get.
  3. Committing a serious felony inside the country you are requesting asylum from? Maybe these folks have a strategy of getting convicted and housed in prison while they wait the 10-15 years for their asylum claim to be processed.
  4. So doesn't assaulting law enforcement kind of nullify any asylum claims? 5 asylum-seekers arrested for assault on police officers in Times Square https://abcnews.go.com/US/5-asylum-seekers-arrested-assault-police-officers-times/story?id=106825390
  5. Maybe Mann, and Fauci can be held together. This guy is amazing, and someone needs to find out who is paying his bills. Climate scientist Michael Mann’s defamation case reveals what critics say is unethical behavior Mann is suing Simberg over statements he and Steyn made in articles they posted online. Testimony so far has raised a number of complaints about plaintiff Mann’s behavior toward his critics. One witnesses’ deposition even revealed that Mann had emailed the editor of a scientific journal in 2007 to stop a paper written by another climate scientist from being published by getting hostile peer reviewers assigned to it. Journalists Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney have been at the trial and posting regular podcasts on what's happening in court. The podcast, which has ranked in the top 15 podcasts on Spotify in the science category, highlights testimony in the trial using actors to portray what was said in court. According to a summary of the case that Superior Court of the District of Columbia Judge Alfred Irving gave during the trial, Simberg’s and Steyn’s post compared the Penn State’s investigation into assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, who was found guilty in 2012 of sexually abusing 10 young boys over the course of 15 years, to the investigation of Mann’s research on global historic temperatures as shown in the scientist's controversial hockey stick graph. https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/climate-scientists-defamation-case-reveals-what-critics-say-plaintiffs
  6. Yes, weather is now AGW when the "expert climate scientists" spent so much time telling us this was not the case.
  7. Yes, it will be interesting to see what it is when they can get down closer to it.
  8. Other than the tax returns and a copy of the I751 package itself, we did not take anything else specific for the I751 (we didn’t even know we were going to have a combo interview until the IO invited me back when she came out for my wife). However, keep in mind that the N400 instructions request a lot of evidence be brought to the interview, and a lot of that includes showing we were still in a solid marital union, so we did have a lot of current information with us.
  9. We had the same situation, and we were never asked about it. All you can do it have the evidence you have, and answer the questions honestly. When we had the combo interview, the I751 portion was very fast, and all we added were updated tax filings. Good Luck!
  10. Seems sort of like asking what someone would do if they were to win Powerball.
  11. The English have a long history of doing that. Monty Python, Benny Hill, etc. Heck, even here in the US, there is history, Milton Berle, Flip Wilson to name a few. My only point is if the activists are now inserting the demand that only a disabled person can play the part, why not open up all the possibilities.
  12. I am fully indoctrinated to DIE/ESG as the progressive Left tell me this is what is needed to reach utopia. Meanwhile a person is fighting for his life after being carjacked in our nations capital, a Leftist ESG/DIE haven.
  13. Seems the tradition would not pass DIE/ESG ideals.
  14. The Louvre should have electrified netting to come down on these idiots, and if they use glue, leave them be with only a Swiss Army knife.
  15. More "progress" apparently. Former Trump admin member critically injured in Washington DC carjacking rampage: reports https://www.foxnews.com/us/former-trump-admin-member-critically-injured-in-washington-d-c-carjacking-rampage-reports
  16. Wasn't Richard III also a man by self identity?
  17. Ahh, it is good to hear it snows in Alaska.
  18. It would be interesting, but then again, it could simply be a plane from WWII.
  19. I tend to agree, I doubt a leg cast would constitute a home biometrics, as I assume you are still somewhat mobile. Anyway, you can try making an online request.
  20. This is what I found. Good Luck! Accommodation Examples If you are deaf and understand sign language, we may provide a sign language interpreter for a USCIS appointment. If you are hard of hearing, we may provide captioning or an assistive listening device for a USCIS outreach event. If you are unable to travel for an appointment with USCIS due to a serious medical condition, USCIS may visit you at your home or a medical facility. If you are unable to use your hands, we may allow you to take the writing part of the naturalization test orally. If you are unable to speak and/or are deaf, that is considered a disability. However, if you are unable to speak English because you do not understand English (but you can vocalize other languages), that is not a disability and we will not provide an interpreter unless you are otherwise eligible. How to Request an Accommodation If you need to request a disability accommodation: Go to uscis.gov/accommodations to make your request online; or Ask the USCIS Contact Center for help in English or Spanish. If you need an accommodation for an appointment (fingerprinting, interview, naturalization ceremony, etc.), we encourage you to request your accommodation immediately when you receive your appointment notice. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/disability-accommodations-for-the-public
  21. It is entirely up to you and her. My wife followed the same path, and she did file the N400 when her filing window opened, and about 6 months later, she had her US passport. In my eyes, the N400 runs on its own timeline, and if naturalization is the ultimate goal, there is no real reason not to file when possible. In some ways it may kick start the ROC process as the I751 is supposed to be transferred to your local office for processing when the N400 has been filed. That usually happens, but there have been stories where it did not. Anyway, whatever you choose, good luck!
  22. What country? Was the marriage quick? How many in person visits? I would agree, if there were no previous visa attempts, it looks like the CO does not believe the marriage is real, but that is just a guess. Talk to your husband and see if he can remember any specific questions he was asked at the interview along with his answers. Good Luck!
  23. Nothing on the calendar in Japan in the near future, but hey, she gains a day coming from Japan to Vegas. Also, I suspect she will be on a private plane with decent comfort, so I suspect she will not have any problems getting to the game. I don't watch much NFL football, although I watched more this year than in a long time since the Lions were actually doing well, but I really don't care who the camera pans to after a play is completed.
  24. I more than likely will not watch either, and really don't care who wins. That being said, KC looks unstoppable right now, and if SF plays like they did against the Lions, I suspect they may lose.
