Why is the President blamed for everything in Immigration when obvious lack of preparation might be the real reason??

You did the right thing. Don't listen to these people on here telling you otherwise. This is one lie..what others are there especially when you asked him a direct question (The USCIS asks a direct question).
Best thing is move on..(easier said than don sometimes).

I can chime in here. We are a same-sex couple too AND he is from a homophobic country (much much less so than other countries though).
We are no AOS interview and no I-751 interview. I know of two other couples as well. Their AOS interview was two questions in total each. They had both been together for 7 and 10 years together respectively.

Not sure if these questions are normal or not. I KNOW for certain my spouse would have flunked many of these questions....wow!!. He is not a detail orientated person. I am the detained one....:-(

There is no special treatment at all because you are a UK Citizen. My spouse was a UK (and still is) and when he was applying for Immigration here many years ago, it meant nothing being a UK Citizen.

Biden?? HE wants open borders..so maybe we won't need this site anymore....well...maybe we won't have a country anymore.

He supported as VP the Demoortation in Chief...Obama who deported the most illegals. So who knows.....

Your former church congregation may not like what you two are doing to get to America but it certainly does not put them or anyone (outside of DHS authority) in a position to cast a shadow of suspected fraud to the USCIS. It will basically be shrugged aside as irrelevant because all evidence you and your spouse provide for the application is what is used to determine your eligibility for getting a US visa approved.
Pay no mind to people....when God is for YOU, who can stand against you?

They can do nothing. While this situation of yours is 'different' for sure. I am confident USCIS gets a lot of weird requests and mostly they ignore.

Not to worry. ConEd would only allow one name. We included other information like a Will, POA, Health Proxy, Bank Statements, Credit Card Statements in both names, Invitation emails from friends showing both names..just a few copies...
There was no interview. Matter of fact I did not have any interview for the AOS or the I-751. The cards just showed up in the mail.

Thank you for assuring me. I am thinking to provide almost the same documents. I will just put everything I have.

I did not have an interview for AOS, and i got my green card in 9 months. So I hope this luck will be there for my I-751.

    Thanks again!

Well citizens can't demand the removal of non-citizens. Divorce is the only "removal" you can do. Deportation is the decision of the agency. I don't consider you selfish; your anger is understandable. If anything, he is the selfish one since he cheated. But legally, your only option is to file divorce and to NOT file AoS for him. Without the AoS papers (which require your signature), he has no legal grounds to be in the US because his K1 is expired. They are unlikely to come after him though because expired K1 visa holders are not their priority group for deportation. However he WILL get into trouble if he is caught still living here. Just get the divorce finalized and make him go through your lawyer for any "discussions". Don't talk to him directly.

We are a American-Kenyan same sex couple. (males). He is from Kenya too. The Kenyan government does not need to know anything. You do need a CID Certificate of Good Conduct that needs to be applied for and given at the K-1 Interview. However, I understand now the CID is not issuing any certificates due to COVID-19.

The rest of the processing is done with the US Embassy. The part we feared was being interviewed at the counter as everyone could hear. However, the Kenyans waiting there are nervous and don't pay attention. The intake personnel of your documents are Kenyansbut cannot do or say anything nor will they as they are working for the US Government.

    I wouldn't worry.

The chance of a summer wedding was probably minimal before the virus outbreak - k1s take time. I'd say there is almost zero chance now. Everything is shutting down here - airlines aren't flying, Government offices closing etc etc. Its a bummer but the Government is more concerned with trying to prevent people dying than ensuring you can get married on your desired date.

Your letter probably did more to hard his application than anything else. It is a common misconception especially with many African countries. That is because countries like Ghana/Nigeria etc require a letter of invitation for their visitor visa application. Not so the USA.

Too many variables to predict an outcome, just wait and hope for the best. Telling the IO that he filed for asylum so he gets time to figure out what to do with the relationship was a very bad defense regardless of the actual reason. Just hope they don’t accuse him of lying in asylum application coz that will affect this decision. Good luck.

We were treated very well throughout the whole process as well. My citizenship application last year (YES, UNDER President Donald Trump!!) took 5 months. So don't believe the liberal ####### you hear. I am gay AND black and FROM Africa.

It is not an easy process and you have to be VERY organized. Government employees like everything in order, submitted online clearly, well labelled and CORRECT. Don't make them hunt around for things.

Oh dear. EVERYONE in your family including you and contacts in the country you are in have to be treated. This is not something to take lightly. What country are you from? (reason I ask: Each county has different restrictions).

Active Pulmonary TB is highly infectious...meaning he or she is 'spewing' active M.tuberculosis in the air which people are breathing. If anyone also has a low immune system, this is even worse.

The Embassy will need evidence of treatment of you all. Anyone else can chime in here.

Very dangerous for everyone concerned. There are so many people, INCLUDING the people who are going to receive you and your children in the USA who will be affected. Are you thinking about this?

Also, there are various forms of TB. Was the eldest on the lung (pulmonary) or in another site? The former is highly infectious. The hospital that treats your children in the USA is duty bound to report to the CDC all contacts, etc. It will be a mess.

Getting an extention on the visa would be the wisest thing to do
