ameksy got a reaction from Milka & Chris in Could it really takes 12 and half months for the I-130 petition to get approved?
14Months and counting......USC/CR1/POTOMAC 😪

ameksy reacted to JFH in I129F denied due to 2 year meeting requirement, next steps for person with flying phobia? (merged)
At first I thought you meant this as treatment for his spending $30k on a woman he’s never met.
But for fear of flying it’s a great suggestion. Many airlines hold programmes for fear of flying where they teach you various breathing and focusing techniques to overcome it.

ameksy reacted to Miriamc in Has anyone used WebWed Mobile for getting married for their CR-1/IR-1?
I’m not sure the exact legal term, but the closet word I would pin It to ‘ have sexual relations’.

My team productive went up working from home. Not that hard. Less distractions.
USCIs is like any government agency though. Their job security is based on congress not performance.

You fail to mention that USCIS started losing considerable money under this administration, the deficit was minimal until 2016.
In part because of poor management, also because part of the funds were taken out from USCIS to fund ICE or DHS. Also immigration officials were assigned other duties fighting illegal immigration instead of assisting with legal immigration. Delays from USCIS did not start this year. They should really stop blaming "Covid and less petitions" for this disaster

It's getting so challenging to get my fiance to America legally, I won't lie, there are times I think about ways I can get him here illegally....

ameksy reacted to RPete in Lets help clear/fix all the mixed answers regarding the K visas and the EO
People have been doing this and havent waited until now. The US government currently has bigger fish to fry then our visas. We have to wait and see. The embassies aren't open for routine processing, and until they are, we can't do anything anyways. It seems every week someone has a "new" idea about how to fasttrack the process. It's not going to happen. The world is coming out of one of the worst situations it's seen since WW2, and we can't expect it to go our way all the time. Not to be negative, but it is the reality of life right now.

ameksy reacted to ohcoffeeeyes in Processing times just changed to 3 years!!?
Sorry, I must say right now, if you're truly naturalized, you have no real reason to start asking people to not email their congressmen to sort this out, you are not going through the pain of a possible extra year of waiting for an i-130 approval, a process that generally takes 12 months on its own. (Yes I truly believe COVID-19 won't be gone until next year)
That's not to dismiss your opinion but the truth of the matter is that you got over the hurdle, these people haven't... You are with your SO right now (or were with), these people face the possibly of being separated for another year. It's a different type of mindset you put yourself in when stressed and upset like that, I know you probably remember it judging by how delayed your process was. These people haven't faced that breath of relief yet.

NVC will not reject it, filing as single or married is an IRS issue.

ameksy reacted to Marieke H in Expedition during Corona
If birthdays were a valid reason to expedite, USCIS would be overwhelmed with expedite requests.

ameksy reacted to Pitaya in What is the best way to handle this problem
We heard you twice the first time.
The petitioner USC, your husband, is always the primary sponsor. That is how the AOS requirements are written. If the primary sponsor has to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge. You have to be financially stable enough to support yourself as a Legal Permanent Resident (LPR). If the primary sponsor does not have the financial capability, either through income or assets to meet this obligation, then you will have to seek other people to be a secondary sponsor, or sponsors, that in addition to the primary sponsor, will be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge. If this is not possible then you cannot adjust status, and you should consider moving back to your home country. The AOS financial requirements are pretty cut and dry. I apologize, I am not trying to paint a bad picture for you, but that is what it is.
Hopefully your husband can find a job within the next two weeks.
Good luck on your immigration journey, and Happy Holidays !!

ameksy reacted to user555 in PLZ HELP My lawyer never asked me about Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage
You will have to wait a few months, get a RFE (request for more evidence), and then submit what USCIS wants. And tell your lawyer he owes you a refund for being incompetent.

ameksy reacted to Thunderbolt in my case status got refusal. with more information need on the letter
I don't want to sound negative, but it seems that all the RFEs and refusals are coming from cases submitted by lawyers. Is it really that hard to fill up 20 pages of forms with instructions and VisaJourney help? If there are no criminal charges on ones record, why would anyone go for a lawyer?
