Declaration of Consummation

Hello everyone. Stumbled across this forum while looking for answers to my questions. I’m currently preparing the evidence for my I-130. I had a zoom Utah proxy marriage with my husband. We met for about a month and now want to file. I have passport stamps, pictures, and boarding passes. I don’t have any evidence of hotel bookings unfortunately since it was all cash and no prior bookings. I also saw that a declaration (not affidavit) of consummation from me and my spouse is also potentially good direct evidence since it’s direct reference to that requirement. Would this hurt? Could it be useful?

You have proof of spent time together after the marriage, correct? Pictures of you together and the boarding passes and passport stamps? That should be enough for proof of meeting after the marriage took place. 
 

What declaration of consummation are you referring to? And what would that declaration state?

Never heard of that, I would show evidence you have been together since the marriage

Yes we have a decent amount of evidence we were together. 
 

What I’m referring to about a declaration is a statement directly addressing that requirement for eligibility (consummation). From my understanding, USCIS doesn’t specify in their manual exactly what they want for evidence, though being together at the same place is primary and important evidence. But the declaration also being another piece of evidence directly addressing the matter of consummation.

What would you write in that declaration? USCIS doesn’t have to know any intimate details (not sure if that was where you are getting at)
 

USCIS only wants to see proof of you having spent time together after the marriage, and you seem to already have that proof covered.

Not explicit details. More so outlining marital relations/consumption happened while together. I’ve seen this mentioned on quite a few websites and guides.

Not necessary. Daphne is right.

Just need to state you got physically together in the same location after the wedding, and provide supporting evidence.  You can even remove the consumption vocabulary (I know I would).

This is what I was more or less referring to. That a statement directly telling that we were together after marriage (therefore satisfying the consummation requirement) along with the evidence showing that we were is more solid/convincing as opposed to nothing explicitly stating we were together.

Not needed.  Consummation means having been in the same place either during or after the marriage ceremony.

A statement carries no weight.

Never heard of this "consummation statement"......ever.  Consummation, in the eyes of USCIS, means having been in the same place either during or after the ceremony.

No need for any kind of declaration.  "I saw" from the OP has no source.  It's just not necessary.  Only the evidence is required.

I remember a couple that sent a photo of them sitting upright in bed together as part of their evidence of consummation (it was posted here a few years ago).  I don't know if it did anything in terms of their case, but I know for sure that whoever actioned their file got an eyeful.
